I know there are folks who missed out, but a rerelease would be a mistake IMO. I personally don't care if a company produces 500 figures or 5,000 because I never buy figures for resale value. However limiting production of the line adds to the perceived value and rarity, so people will PO SooSoo's future comic Marvel releases much faster. I'm sure if SooSoo releases a Wolverine that looks as good as Gambit, it will sell out in half the time if not quicker. Same with Rogue, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Captain America, etc. They would completely own that niche.
The other thing is SooSoo probably limits the production run to avoid having a big target on their back. Releasing a few hundred figures is probably small enough to simply be an annoyance to license holders like Sideshow. Flooding the market with 1,000+ figures would probably incur their wrath. Maybe SooSoo could get away with a color variant though.

You're going to take this personally.
You lie.
In years of collecting, experience taught me anyone posting/saying such is full of it.
Sure. In the beginning, it starts out that way. However, over time it changes in varying degrees for many.
Even if a collector buys just one to open, set up, keep for a while . . . when it comes to resale even for a previously owned figure that is highly prized/sought after . . . the lure of $ wins.
The preceding doesn't apply 100%, but it's a lot given the greed and stupidity factor nowadays.
Soosoo have been targeted previously to the point they had to go into stealth mode on social media and lay low due to attorneys from Disney & Warner Bros. making inquiries and going after them through distributors and vendors.
Soosoo's Gambit is somewhat a rarity in terms of how quickly it became so sought after plain and simple and those tempted by the lure of supposed easy $ will cash in on it.
If you're "offended", I apologize. I hope the context of the preceding clarifies what I posted. If not, then oh well.
For transparency, I buy in multiples (i.e., a case or more) of certain figures. Do I resell for profit? Yes . . . "IF" & "WHEN" I resell. I'm a 'hoarder". I buy and tend to sit on them for a long time before reselling or consume/use them over time. I'm a different kind of collector compared to those who buy for supposed immense profit by turning stock around fast. I play the long game.
I don't have any Soosoo Gambit, but if I did I'd probably sell them for close to 1K a piece if the demand and frenzy truly warrants it. Realistically, I may not sell any at that price, but I can afford to sit on them because I know what I invested in them for the long game that is "IF" I had any. Of course, I don't. So there.
Production run of all figures by all brands are fewer nowadays and the trend have been that way for a number of years. Production runs are no where near what they were from back in the day.
