I got mine today number 15 and it is truly an amazing statue. I will gloss her up a bit to look like the proto. Photos will be up later

Chewee Levelu your awsome pic's inspired me to find and
buy this piece, it looks wicked. I should have it some time next week
Will post some pics.
Can you or anyone else who owns this tell me how tall it is?
SS site says 12" but I have a feeling its taller than that..Thanks.

You're right! It is exactly 12 inches tall. Just measured it. She is a beauty. I consider it a very unusual maquette first because it is a obscure movie and second because it is a very strange but awesome design. It has so many details that the price tag alone is worth buying one.

Looking forward to see some pics.

Cheers

Thanks ...Nacho & sorry :D

You will not regret it I'm sure ...

The maquette in 31 cms tall base included ... but in comparison with my Premium Format statue, It's roughly 1/4 scaled ...

Took me a while to get around to digging her out, but here you go. A couple quick pics of the work in progress on the old Horizon resin kit that I will likely never finish. I would rather buy the Sideshow piece than put the work into this since it will never be translucent. I also wish I had used the other face with the open mouth, but when I started, I had no idea I was going to even put this much work into it.

All the dark areas are where I heated the resin up, bent it to where I wanted it, and filled and resculpted it with putty. I was going for the picture on the pinkish cover of the Giger Species book.

Then let me finish her :naughty

I always wondered if one would be able to make some basic vac-forming clear styrene over her various body parts, or maybe even several layers of the superthick gloss lacquers applied in steps to "build-up" a clear layer, would work to some degree at attaining "translucency"...

Sil has arrived and what a beauty she is...Im very supprized at the amount
of detail on her. Well done Sideshow.
I think this maquette is very underated and I dont know why, it kicks ASSSSSS!!!!
