Just saw some more Lego images of potential aliens in the Solo film. Without going into any detail, they could look pretty cool in the movie. More aliens is the thing I want more of in a Han Solo Star Wars movie (actually what I wrote when I started this thread) !

But this made me think HT have set themselves a bit of a precedent here. Without doing a lot of the Rogue One main characters, will they do the same here with the Han Solo movie ?

Will people then hold back getting figures outside the main leads, for fear of not getting a partner figure. Like Chirrut & Baze, or K2S0 and Cassian, or Deathtrooper and Krennic ?? Sure I hope they end up doing Baze, Cassian and Krennic, but there are no guarantees.

Then there is the other issue of HT rarely touching aliens from Star Wars.

I'll certainly be careful about getting any Solo movie HT figures. However the movie will of course need to be worthy to begin with, which is yet another open question.

All I want is a good caper with scoundrels and gangsters and Han in over his head. Make him a likeable rogue and it could generate sequels leading up to ANH.

It does seem that way. Why have the Patrol(?) Trooper instead of normal Scouts. Why have the Range Trooper instead of Snowtroopers. Maybe they have a different mission set, so their is some significance to them? It could also be that they are still transitioning to newer stormtrooper armor from their clone wars equipment & we are seeing the stepping stone to Imperial armor.

I do hate collecting troopers some times due to them being able to change the slightest thing on them & call it something new.

I'd assume HT would release the Range Trooper as I'd imagine it would be a reuse of the Shoretrooper molds (helmet at the minimum). Hopefully they could also run a Shoretrooper (non SL or a captain) for those of us who missed the original, and the Tank Commander while they have the tooling set up.

I'm also liking the look of the Mimban Stormtrooper.

Yeah, I'm not so familiar with the Legends material. However Mimban did sound like a location to me. The Lego figures themselves look like dirty stormtroopers, but could also be camouflage....

I hope we get some cool aliens and droids in the line! The last thing I'm interested in, frankly, are Han and Lando. I say that as someone who's intrigued by the movie and excited to see it. But... not sure I need younger versions of these characters.

I'm in for Patrol Trooper, Range Trooper and Mimban Stormtrooper. I don't mind another basic Stormtrooper like the one in RO as well

I wonder if the first trailer will drop this week ?? Hope so. Then again, I read somewhere they may wait until Super Bowl which makes sense, but would suck.
