Speculation: Hot Toys "Solo" Movie Figures

With HT back to the PT, does this mean Solo figures are now done?

Not really. Rogue One figures were announced in three waves with TFA and OT announcements in between. We could still get more reveals for Solo but chances get slimmer as time passes. SDCC may hold a few surprises on that front. If so, we'll have to cross fingers for actual PO.

I wish we’d have gotten the Mimban and Range Troopers.

Same here. They'd be very nice additions to the imperial ranks on the shelves.

I really only wanted the Patrol Trooper, Range Trooper, & Mud Trooper, in that order. So I'll gladly take the two out of the three, but I'm still hopeful they'll announce the Range Trooper. Mimban Troopers would've just been icing on the cake.

After the main heroes I'd rather they make an Enfys Nest figure (masked and unmasked) over any more troopers. She looked just as cool as the troopers and obviously had a much more prominent role in the film. Maybe the "Deluxe" version could include an alternate portrait of that old lady at the end, lol.

I was wondering if there was a pattern to RO and if Solo would be the same. I know there were a few waves and now it has dropped off the map. Everyday that goes by without a release cements Baze and the Tank Commander never happening. I can totally see the Mimban Trooper also disappearing.

I think the window for Blaze to be made has closed. Troopers I feel like are a bit different but I still imagine that Hot Toys would release them around the a film’s release.

I really don't get the hope for SDCC reveals. SDCC is meaningless these days. Vast majority of whats shown never makes it to PO anymore. In fact SDCC is probably a bad thing now because instead of building excitement and demand it just results in years of disappointment and bitching over "where is X figure"? Has there been a Star Wars release thread that hasn't at some point been assaulted with "Where's my deathstar trooper? All you who want this figure are %$*&@ because I didn't get what I wanted and this figure somehow is the cause" posts? Just look at Hot Toys facebook. They cant announce any figs or show any product pics without endless posts whinging about other figs. Part of it is the entitlement of some collectors, but if they didn't tease stuff they have little intention of releasing at these shows I think the community would actually be better off.

Lol. I would absolutely purchase an Enfys Nest and, although I zero percent expect, her speeder. That's a BS figure I plan to get. And the Lego, obvs.

As far as the DS Trooper, he's just a matter of time imo.

Would be interesting to know how the patrol trooper is selling. I feel like mimban trooper and range trooper would easily be the top two sellers.

They probably build prototypes to get real-world estimates for production costs. A physical thing is better to show the factory team. And then some protos are dropped simply because it won't fit into HT's price requirements, others because the film performs poorly.
