Are you sure? It seems kind of weird that with an entire Hot Toys line, they would use one Sideshow figure out of the blue. Hot Toys is making their own version of R2-D2 as well, so I don't see why they wouldn't release a C2-B5 since it's a simple repaint. I could be wrong, I'm just saying...

It's sideshow.

I feel like it's almost giving Sideshow a bone with those figures haha.

Merci :)

and for the link as well :duff This one would look interesting next to the Death troopers

De rien.

Might break and order one as well depending on how he features in the movie. As much as i love astromechs, i can hardly justify spending that kind of money on a background filler... especially when there are so many unique releases lately.

Though it feels like a weird commercial behavior, we must not forget HT and Sideshow are now closely related being each other distributor on their "local" market.
We didn't get to see such cross promotion with TFA as Sideshow a yet to release any 1/6 figure from this movie but i remember seeing cabinets with mixed figures from both manufacturers at several events/shows before.

Hot Toys had a C2-B5 at a recent convention display

That's why I asked, I thought Hot Toys made one and that was it, is it possible they just used the Sideshow one as part of the display? Or is it a new yet unannounced HT figure?

I can't see the seam on the dome. I noticed it in the SS promo pics so they're using the same mold as R2. This one might be a Hot Toys figure.

Or possibly they made a quick one from their mold because sideshow's was unavailable. That's odd though. I have never seen the two in direct competition (by making the same figure).

Coming in here at my own risk so hopefully no spoilers pop up since I won't get to see the movie for a few days, but...

Now that the movie has been released, it would seem like we're probably not getting any other Rogue One figures from HT. Is anyone else surprised/annoyed there's been no sign of a Cassian Andor or Director Krennic figure yet?

I really want a Cassian figure. Not all of the TFA figures were up for pre order before the film or day of.

All these figures get a huge pass from me after seeing the movie. (except Vader)

Movie was average.
