Ok I have seen alot of weird bites in my day. I would even pour bleach on my legs when I would get back in from the field every week to get rid of chiggers. I have seen all sorts of snake bites and spider bites. Nothing like this. So I ask is this real? Your thoughts.

chiggers are the worst...i still cringe when i think about sitting on an old wooden bench and then having bites from my ankles all the way up the back of my legs. the worst itching!

for those not in the know on chiggers:

The larval mites feed on the skin cells, but not blood, of animals, including humans. The six-legged parasitic larva feeds on a large variety of creatures including humans, rabbits, toads, box turtles, quail, and even some insects. After crawling onto their host, they inject digestive enzymes into the skin that break down skin cells. They do not actually "bite," but instead form a hole in the skin and chew up tiny parts of the inner skin, thus causing severe irritation and swelling. The severe itching is accompanied by red pimple-like bumps (papules) or hives and skin rash or lesion on a sun-exposed area. For humans, itching usually occurs after the larvae detach from the skin. Chiggers are known for never spreading from host to host.

i can't view the video though since I'm not signed up for youtube. sounds like it looks disgusting though....brown recluse spider bite maybe? I know their bites can make your skin rot. :(

you guys are disgusting..I dont even click on those link.:monkey4

Ok that is pushing it! :lol :rotfl :lol I read the first line and stopped. :monkey4

then you missed this:

"When you scratch your butt in the middle of the night while you are sleeping, then touch your mouth, or food that will end up in your mouth, you eat the eggs that are under your fingernails and get re-infected."

I've had two brown recluse (a.k.a. fiddleback) bites in my life and neither one comes close to this video, thank goodness. But I have seen other people react to the recluse bite in worse ways and that video looks like a recluse bite to me.

And, yes, I watched the whole video. Do I get a merit badge now?:D
