If you want to claim one by God do so. LOL! I won't be sending you one though:monkey3 So IYO is this an un treated bite?

Hard to tell if it's treated or not. There isn't much a doctor can do but prescribe antibiotics to keep it from getting infected. There isn't an anti-venom for a recluse bite. The venom actually kills the flesh. I assume all the nastiness that guy is squeezing from his face is mostly dead tissue.

I had a little portion of flesh just rot away and fall off but it eventually grew back in. The worst of it was a 104 degree temperature and flu like symptons for a few days.

They are vile little creatures and they're all over the place where I work.

That is what I told my wife. It basically turns your tissue into mush. It is just really gross. LOL!

Yeah, my sis got bit in the face when she was younger... still has a nasty scar on her face from it. It was one of the sickest things I have ever seen.

And another reason why I still sleep with the covers wrapped over my head and tucked very tightly in my blanket. :monkey1

my girlfriend takes all the covers off of the bed and shakes them off and puts them back on every night before she gets into bed because she is so afraid of a spider being in there. i won't dare send her this video.

It's kinda weird, even though I live in Texas in a somewhat country area (it used to be more country, but we had a lot of growth) I've never had spider issues. Although we have had a few scorpions.

Ah yes. Oklahoma is famous for its spiders. My favorite band (the Flaming Lips) almost lost a member because of one of those puppies.

I would love to know! I have seen brown recluse bites as well as black widows none as gory as this.

Well, it was either one hellva bad spider-bite, or this guy had a pimple the size of my palm grow on his face. I live in Florida, so these little *******s are everywhere! Had one fall down my shirt one time, luckily, it didn't bite me(Atleast I think it didn't), though I still can't stand the buggers or any other bugs, insects and everything else under the sun.:monkey4

And yeah, I sat through the whole thing. Guess that makes me a bigger man than King Darkness.:lol:monkey5

...its like popping a giant pimple :monkey3

..only more ooze are coming out, like in gallons :monkey3

I've seen more gross videos. You guys wanna see? Unkie Dave will probably delete though

I've read enough comments in this thread to decide that I'm not going to click on the link and watch the video.

Double ditto that! But based on some of the comments, it sounds this could be a very bad allergic reaction to something like a Hobo spider bite. Like the Brown Recluse, Hobo spiders can cause a necrotic wound, and sometimes severe infection, but usually only when the victim has an unusually strong reaction to the venom. For most people it just causes a small (about 1/2 inch in diameter) but painful wound that lasts for 2-3 weeks.

Now you'd think that the ******* (if its real) would check go to a doctor after it got to the size of a quarter :lol Not wait until its a golfball of nastiness to try some home surgery, could you imagine the potential for infection from that?!?

Living in Oklahoma I'm damn paranoid of the Brown Recluse... I know we also have Black Widows around my house. I've never had one inside, but my neighbor has killed a few... yeesh!

geeeeeez that was insane.....

ick.

im so lucky in scotland, the only thing you need to watch out for is... nothing really, unless you have an allergy most insect bites you get an itchy bumo which goes away after 1-2 days...

i dont like spiders and i cant imagine going to sleep at night having to worry about things like this...

christ....

Dude that was F'ing SICK. I do not generally ever have a problem watching stuff, but I didn't finish that.

I don't think that was a spider bite. I mean I guess it could be, but i don't know what kind of spider would do that. It's not a black widow obviously as he would have been very sick and it wasn't a bown reluse either as their venom causes the skin to die and sluff off withOUT swelling like that.

I don't know what the hell got ahold of that guy, but keep it the F away from me.

I almost wonder if that even real or some sort of very good makeup hoax.

Did anyone notice the music in the background at the end on their TV set? Duel of the Fates!!! :rotfl

I didn't look at it, and seems like I'm lucky I didn't. This kind of thing we probably don't need linked at all.

We used to have a **** load of beown recluses and my sister was bit a few times and it NEVER looked anything like that:yuck

Shouldn't there have been a doctor present for that?!? :google

It wasn't so... :monkey4 bad... :yuck
:crying

I agree, but alot of times a doctor really can't do much. If it was me I would want him to cut it open and dig all that crap out. I am not a medical person though so I don't know if thats a good idea either. I will have to do some research on this and post it on this thread.

Ok I found this so far. More to come.

The bite of the brown recluse spider is usually painless. However, localized burning sensation often develops within the first hour and during the next 6-12 hours, a small pimple or blister forms. The surrounding tissue begins to darken and take a raised appearance. The venom of this spider can cause extensive tissue damage (necrotic reaction) and over the next 10-14 days, a sunken, open, ulcerated sore up to several centimeters in diameter. It normally takes 6-8 weeks for a brown recluse spider bite to heal. A large sunken scar may persist that requires surgery to repair. Not every brown recluse bite results in ulcer formation. In rare cases systemic complications such as liver or kidney damage result.

See your physician or emergency room as soon as you suspect a brown recluse spider bite. Capture the spider for later identification (crush the specimen, if necessary, but do so as gently as possible).
