How does 3 reported pieces with issues make the Spider-Woman release a dud?

Well, considering the fact she was pretty much a dud to begin with, and now 3 out of 5 people have bad paint and noticeable QC issues. Plus, others from the other forum were completely disappointed (even one who calls himself Spider Woman's #1 fan) and already looking for returns/replacements. In my opinion, she's a dud.

I got tons of moisture damage here. grey paint running from her webbing, on the upper body and arms looks weird red little lines, ex iffy paint job on the hair , bridge on her nose white lines and the reg hair is just terrible... huge black smudge looks like a palm print.

Sooooo much paint smudges on the styrofoam... I sense there would be problems just by the packaging. I didn't take a picture of the body in the styrofoam but did of the heads. Did you even notice they twisted bag for the base? I have 40 something in statues and i've never scene them twist a bag and insert in the foam and leave them half exposed. i am truly lost of words tonight...

Factories cutting corners on the silica gel pouches and not putting none lol what a joke, don't they ship this by boat?

So the silica gels prevents moistures?

I personally don't like the statue myself, just thought that it was unfair to call it a dud. But with the statistics you've posted it might very well be just that.

Yeah, really makes me nervous for Storm now. The first person who posted pics seems to have gotten a good SW, but it seems everyone since then has complained of issues.

Sorry to hear that VS. Looks like Frobay (from the other forum) had a huge amount of issues too. Looks like Spider-Woman's pretty much a dud.

No it's too early to tell. Once SS replaces them with good ones then she will be ok! . I think you mean bud not dud.

International calls are very expensive. I wouldn't want to spend another dollar on their mess.

Same post as on SF but wanted to share my experience

I'm usually pretty satisfied with Sideshow's efforts but I have to agree the paint job is terrible.
My statue has superficial blemishes, some areas of missing paint, a gob of red paint on the webbing, a bubble blister on the base, and lots of uneven, poorly painted lines.

I also had no QC sticker, half-bagged statue in the styrofoam, paint rubs on the styrofoam

From the pics I've seen, this is not an anomaly.

I agree she looks good from a distance, and I really wanted to have a Spider-Woman for my New Avengers line up. But, if SS can't muster up a better paint-app, I'm returning her.

I wonder how does the weird paint spots form like that? Is it from not bagging the statue? Or the styrofoam? It's a shame if this was caused by trying to save money.

Resceived my Spiderwoman and it arrived broken

The worst thing was that the factory tried to cover up the broken tip of the hair with paint. It's like I'm not suppose to frikin notice it.

When I open the foam, first thing I notice was there was moisture on the body of SW. Neither heads was covered up probably with the plastic bag.

1) broken right arm with red smear markings on glove side.
2) chip on boot area
3) back of SW body had foam glued onto it. I couldn't even get it off.
4) EX hair (top of tip end was broken and covered up with paint by factory worker)
5) EX face had dented nose and small paint chip on cheek.
6) SW reg head eye area was poorly painted.

Was there a QC sticker on the foam because mine was not there when I received it?

Damn guys, I hope you're going to email an incendiary letter to them because that's unacceptable.
Did you take pics of the mess?

the good ones look really good though.

Wow... I can't believe the factory guys would make such silly mistakes. I hope some folks end up on the carpet for it

Yup they work wonders they sell kits to dry up water damage phones to absorb the moisture
