well i'm not a collector of 1:1's, and even i have to say wth, no one talks about spidey like that. that's................just wrong

sorry, but with the iron man you have two colors, flat/smooth surfaces and a ton of sloppy "blackwash" detailing in the cracks. granted, the spidey only has 3 colors, but the wed detailing and ES make this a superior piece.

as much as i'm looking forward to an iron man with a good paint job...

spidey 1:1 > iron man 1:1 any day of the week.

I just didn't want to sound like a jerk, but the "red blob" comment was a little unjustified. You can't compare the Spider-Man 1:1 to the Iron Man 1:1. No matter have many ways you look at it. I will list those reasons upon request.

I can't tell if the eyes are silver enough.

Does the box have anything printed on it or a gold sticker?

So does anyone know the answer to jbinny's question? And what's the story behind these in terms of Sideshow's involvement because I never remember seeing the International Version on Sideshow's website?

yeah, and does the boxes and labels on the base actually mention that this is an international version. i didn't even know this existed.
other than binny asking about it all the time. i just though he had a brain fart or something and was dreaming.

i personally like the silver eyes better imo, that's if i had to choose.

I think Dan Rather is doing a 20/20 Special on this tonight. Uncovering the Truth: Sideshow Collectibles' International Edition Spider-Man 1:1 Bust. Hopefully, that will help answer this mystery.

As for the brawl... well let's just call a truce and say that the iron man bust is far superior to this bust even though it's almost double the price!!!!

Hey, I'm not interested in the brawl! Just interested in this piece. It's fine. We're all entitled to opinions. I may not agree with it, but to each own.

The Iron Man 1:1 is beautiful as well (don't get me wrong), but it's difficult to compare to the Spider-Man 1:1 that has been out for much longer and has "stood the test of time."

yeah i completely understand - i was just stiring u guys up... we are all collectors here - and love our collections to death! I have no problems with anything anyone buys... it's all personally opinion!

so the only differance that we know of is the color of the eyes then??

Yes, that's correct!

Here's a question for you: Since the International Version was aimed at customers in the EU, do you think it's as difficult for them to get the "white-eyed" version as it is for us in North America to get the "silver-eyed" version? I know it sounds crazy, but I am curious.

hmmm. don't know if it's difficult, other than it's never even been looked for.
most collectors likely don't even know of the two versions.
the only drawback would be paying the outragious shipping brokerage and tax charges, which could possibly more than double the price of the piece

so the actual box is the same then, but just like other exclusives they just add a stick to them to indicate that it's an exclusive edition.
