Spidey v Venom Pictures

It's never a good sign when you pick up a Sideshow box and it sounds like you ordered a bag of rocks. I knew even before I opened the box something was broken...sure enough Spidey's arm was snapped off.

Back to the factory he goes!!!

I will say the bust/diorama/vs/maquette/whatever is bigger than I thought and pretty freaking sweet!!!

I got the exclusive incase anyone cares

I like the regular better since you get the full face of venom. The exclusive is a great companion piece though.

Unfortunately mine was also damaged. One of the fingers was obviously glued back and there is a broken chip between two fingers where the damage happened.

Also, I noticed this yellow wax substance around Venom's spider logo. Very easy to remove with a needle but still worth mentioning. On the other hand, I did see some paint application problems on Spidey's head and Venom's chest area. I sent a request for a replacement. Hopefully it'll be a quick one. I am still waiting on my Captain Vs Skull diorama...

Sorry to hear that. They really send out pieces that have just been glued together haphazardly? I hope mine comes out ok. What was wrong with your Cap Vs. Skull?

My Skull Vs piece had a problem with one of the torch holders not lining up correctly and the paint application overall was iffy (about 60% where it should have been). Some of the white on Cap's torso was "washed off" and there were minor paint imperfections that when added up made my decision to send it back that much easier.

Yeah, the Venom broken finger was very well hidden. I would have missed it if not for the white broken chip between 2 of the fingers. Upon closer inspection you could see the seam where the one broken finger was carefully glued back on. This is a production mistake since the broken chip was not on the box and, well, the finger was purposely glued back on.

This is a great piece and I'll be happy once I get the replacement.

Such a shame. Those are some pretty serious problems and I don't blame you for returning them. This is why I usually like to buy from Sideshow directly, they have a great returns policy. Good luck on the next set Solid and thanks for letting me know.
