I agree with the spirit of the thread if not the intent of the original poster. It was indeed a great SPOOKTACULAR for many legitimate reasons.

I don't think we've had so many activities, videos, contests and product announcements from any previous Spook event. Even if some of the items aren't everyone's cup of tea, I'm glad to see new 12" licenses, something we haven't seen from SSC directly since the LotR announcement (although I could be wrong on this).

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say people missed the sarcastic nature of the original poster?

Yeah, I think a lot of people may have missed the sarcastic nature of the original post:lol

Oh maybe they decided to ignore the negativity and post their own positive experiences from Spooktacular and appreciate the fact that Sideshow puts this on when they don't have to. I think the board did a fantastic job turning this into a real Thank You thread...

Yeah, Spook was pretty awesome once again. Enjoyed the heck out of it and am already looking forward to the next one.

My favorite part of Spooktacular was Sideshow announcing new 12" licenses. Just a few months ago I was convinced they were all but abandoning 1/6 product except for Star Wars and the occasional LOTR release. Now with them not only announcing new lines, but lines based on cult properties, it feels like the old Sideshow is back.

Time will tell. I'm OK with the new 12" announcements, but I'm also a bit saddened because they've got 12" lines "active" right now that are either on life support or have the paddles out, like T2 and LOTR. I love that Star Wars is rolling on, but Sideshow does such nice work I'd like to see the other lines play out to their fullest potential as well.

AWESOME SPOOK!!! Sideshow :rock 's

... I also like how the mods point out the negative intent of the initial post when it had kind of blown over. Fanning the flames of a fire which had all but died out..... :monkey3

i'm done with star wars (except palpatine) so i missed all the praji-wtf-why-isn't-it-vader-craziness. though if i were still picking up new sw stuff i prolly would have gotten him as i thought he looked pretty cool. i am, however, super excited i got 2 new figures from the dead line (or 1 new and 1 repaint) as well as a cool t-shirt.

Shai,

You really need to get a new hobby man. You whine about SW whiners more then they whine about products.
