This was a great movie. I think Harmony Korine is a pretty brilliant director. This one has it's trashier elements, but it's there on purpose. Yes, there are bouncing bare breasts with beer cascading all over them. But you kind of have to see the movie to understand that it's actually an art movie. Sort of this interesting intersection of art and trashy and satire and hypnotic editing and soundtrack.

This post could almost fit a description of Sucker Punch. Hot women on show, satire of videogame violence in modern movies, excellent Soundtrack all intersected with a story hideen under these glaring element.d

^ I completely agree with both of these posts. The film surprised the hell out of me. I wasn't really expecting to enjoy it, but I walked out of SXSW thinking it was maybe the best film of the festival (along with The East, and a really low budget film called Loves Her Gun that a friend of mine made).

This was a weird *** movie.

I'm not sure if girls in bikinis robbing a chicken shack saying "Just pretend it's a video game" is stinging social commentary, but I don't get paid to be a movie critic, soooo . . . wateva.
