Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

That was a lot of work.... and worth every minute of it. Looks awesome.:clap

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

Thanks dude. I'm glad TA parted out the Old Ben figure because his inner robe was perfect to complete Dodonna.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

A little OT action.

Two most AWESOME pics! I'm saving these as reference, too much awesome for two photos.

Love your Death Star Troopers, and I should do a grey version with the unaltered Hasbro uniform. Very retro look.

The match with the earphones for the Kenner DSC cardback pic is amazing. I like the no rank badge accuracy too (I think they forgot it actually in the movie)!

I actually like your ATST helmet - the flare doesn't look as off as my cast did (The movie ATST helmets just don't seem to have much flare.) You should try the olive drab color too - I was going to leave the hasbro grey and just weather it, but the costumes book you can see it's a little greenish and it helps more than you'd think. That Hasbro ATST jumpsuit I tried to work with, but it had too many problems.

I'm at work on my Ozzel (same head, which I got from Chakaman's custom.) The problem is that the hasbro uniforms look decent dyed but the rank cylinders are a pain because he has four. I made one that's accurate for Piett but doing four is too much and I think they are too small to cast.

The Ceremonial Leia is incredible. Which head is that? It looks perfect. I'm considering doing one of those green uniform guys with the tiinted visor/white helmets like the Hasbro figure. They look really cool.

I'll stop typing now...:lol

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

By all means type away! hahaha

Thanks man. Yeah Chris (Chakaman) is actually a big inspiration for a lot of my customs because I saw how epic his were. A lot of these guys are kind of still in the works. The AT-ST driver mainly. I do still have some work to do on the helmet as far as the color goes. I got that costume book for Christmas so I'm going to start flipping through it for some better references for sure.

For the Ceremonial Leia, its is actually a custom that I bought off eBay that had a modded Slave Leia headsculpt from the same sculptor and then later he made the Ceremonial Leia sculpt with the correct hair. He offers three different Leia sculpts, a Mace Windu, and a Han Solo.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

It's funny looking at each other's threads and seeing all the ideas we are "borrowing" from each other. :) That's what makes this community great.

I have been meaning to get that Costumes book, I may have to pull the trigger on it.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

From what little that I've flipped though its freaking awesome. No more hours of internet image searching required. haha

@ gg, Well the majority of mine came from full boxed Praji figures. For my AT-ST driver I got lucky when TA parted out a Medicom Maul. I jumped on those quick!

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

do you know how to cast any I think that`s the reason I don't make imperial officers as I cant find gloves

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

Great stuff, Spud! What outfit is your Rebel tech wearing? I've been thinking about doing one of those myself.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

I've never done any casting before and wouldn't even know where to start. A paint brush is as high tech as I go. Haha

Thanks Kodiac. You know I really don't even know. I found it on eBay last year and it was one of those auctions that the seller lists all kinds of things in the title so it will have a wider search criteria. And ironically it took me a long time to find it. Haha I was searching things like "tan jumpsuit," "1/6 flight suit," and things like that. But I think it came off of a dragon figure if that helps narrow the search.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

Just noticed Tarkin's hand pose - nice detail.:clap

That Leia head is really great - I might think about getting that. Snyderman is very talented - look down the pics of available heads and 90% are instantly recognizable.

Re: Spud's Customs - Updated group shots

Thanks for noticing that hand. Haha you're the first to mention it. The body he is on and the sleeve length limit the ability to do his iconic pose though.
