Re: Spud's Customs

Great work on Labria, he looks "sneaky". :)

Your Hoth troopers look awesome, I can't wait to see them sporting Duane's jackets.

Re: Spud's Customs

Alright back from my reenactment and back at it.
Got my second Marmit Sandtrooper put together last night on a soldier story body and stripped the factory weathering. So still a little work to do on him. Big thanks again to Chris and hansolofake for the hookup on the pauldrons.

Re: Spud's Customs

Yeah I haven't gotten to work on much lately either. But! I got an awesome package in the mail today.

2 of the 3 are one step closer. Still some work to do on their belts and packs. Then weathering. But I love these vests, Duane! :D

Also have a lot more projects in the future.

Re: Spud's Customs

Nice work Spud very cool. I love Duane's heads they are so cool. I'll have to pick up one of the prune faces off him as it looks awesome.

Re: Spud's Customs

Damn dude, those Hoth troopers look fantastic so far. Great work on them. Duane did a great job on those jackets.

That's quite an assortment of headsculpts you got from Duane, it looks like you're gonna be busy for the next few months. Good stuff dude, looking forward to seeing all of these guys come to life.

Good stuff . :)

Re: Spud's Customs

Tyler, Ian, Chris- Thanks for the words guys :)

Glad everything arrived & even more so, glad you're pleased with them bud. I too am SO looking forward to seeing the further progress you make on these guys.

Re: Spud's Customs

Great work on these customs!

I just found out about your work on the Leia Hot Toys thread, someone dropped your name.

Re: Spud's Customs

Visited Hoth again this weekend and finally put together my general Veers. He's been sitting in parts for probably 3 months or more. I'm liking the way he turned out, just have to add the mic in his helmet and he'll be 100%. Also revisited the snowtrooper commander and gave him a more accurate looking cod piece from the Hasbro snowtrooper and did some tweaking on his chest armor.

Re: Spud's Customs

Awesome work as usual.

Question, where do you get the silver studs for the sides of the helmets? The Sideshow officer hats?

Looks like he did what I did and got some extra Imperial belt buckles from Duane and punched out the disks.

Veers looks good Tyler. Gotta shorten those arm though :)

Re: Spud's Customs

Thanks everyone. :D

@ Chris, for the studs I use the ones off the Hasbro AT-ST driver helmet. My first AT-ST driver I had to cut them off which wasn't easy as they are really hard plastic. For Veers I used some cast ones that Tworiverz did in a care package for me. He also did the cast of the com. box I used for Veers. I never thought of using the ones from the Imperial hats. That would be so much easier. Especially since I don't use the hard hats they come with. Thanks for the tip dude. :)

@ OutLander, helmet and armor are all casts from Duane. Except for the belt buckle armor piece. That was 3D printed by Kodiac3d on here.

@ Duane, thanks again for the armor dude! :D

@ Nate, I was thinking about that but the few shots of Veers we do see, you can see his wrists in most of them so I probably won't worry about it much. He'll probably have the typical hands crossed behind his back pose anyway so it won't be an issue.
