nah it's very difficult to do a good recast especially on those highend pieces. The only two i am aware of that has good recast not easily spotted are the sc2 marine and ringwraith on steed. There were also rumors the balrog had some recast as well but it was never proven and still very rare.

I wish sideshow would take this seriously and crack down on them on ebay via the vero policy as other highend brands do to protect their reputation, but apparently sideshow doesnt care, those guys from china sell the fakes openly on ebay

Same reason people pay 200$+ on high quality prints...Some people can't afford paying thousands of $ on originals

I want to pick up the Tychus Findlay statue and I don't mind spending a 1000 for it, but tbh it's not reasonable for me to do so at this time. I would rather get three new statues.

It's something that I would consider down the line maybe in a couple years or if I could get it for a reasonable price.

I am definitely in for one of the Arthas statues, however I am a little disappointed they didn't do an ex with his helmet off

Actually I think they look pretty similar, differences are only subtle. I bought an original though. As said the "no serial numbers" is a dead giveaway. The Blizzard orc wolf rider statue was also recast.
