his oversized paws and bad sculpted fur is refreshing? :dunno

More like a refreshing take on the character, not that I am too avid into Marvel admittedly - I defer to those here who are way more versed.

My initial impression was positive though, I like the more introspective and less "battle pose, mouth open, chaaaaaaaaaaarge" sculpt for a change of pace.

....... *keeps shaking his head*

this had so much potential. moreso than anything, its way too small... and .... uh.

i always considered Beast to be a more laid back character anyways, so i think this statue shows him as he should be.

still won't be ordering it though, just not into this line of Xmen, now the Xwomen on the other hand.:monkey3

I was wondering when Sideshow would catch-on and start charging for cancelled orders. I guess they have suffered enough with people cancelling orders left and right just before shipping.

So I kinda feel two ways about this new fee. First, its just good business sense. Sideshow limits itself to selling Exclusives specifically through thier own website. So, lots of cancellations means lots of stock stuck on thier shelves. This new fee will both limit the number of people that order the exclusive and thus drop edition sizes somewhat, AND limit the number of cancellations come ship time. With the regulars they can always just up the number they sell to other retailers so overstock isnt that big a deal.

On the other hand, as a collector it will suck if this becomes common practice. I always/usually order with intent to buy. What it comes down to in the end is if I have the money when the statue is going to ship. It's hard to predict 6 months in the future what other expenses i might encounter. Not to mention, 8 months of statues tend to all ship unexpectedly at the SAME time.

So, my opinion is that this is a fine practice, but Sideshow needs to do thier best to space out the statues and/or literally not do the pre-orders until the statues are ready to ship. At least they preview the statues a couple days before pre-orders now so that we can figure out if it IS something we want prior to speeding through checkout to garantee an exclusive.

I like it....he's thoughtful, brooding, staring off into space. I'll buy one for sure. A mutant interpretation of The Thinker.

I'm really interested to watch ordering this afternoon. I'm actually anxious to see if it sells out.

How many are you going to order? :lol

A big fat none. ____ the NRD, the costume is horrid, Morrison should be punched in the face for turning Beast into a cat so we have some jaded Disney Marvel entry, Marvel should be as a whole lined up and slapped for keeping it and the thing gives off a Cookie Monster vibe more than anything else.

I'm more interested if the NRD effects ordering in one way or another even at 200.
