As much as I love this figure I am having a hell of a time keeping the face plates in. They fall out at the drop of a hat and even when I do get them in they don't always sit flush with the cowl. Anyone else having this problem and if so whats your solution because I really don't want to have to glue the faces in.

Yup. Put a small thin later of clear nail polish around the peg. I do this all the time for loose Transformer joints. It'll tighten it up without gluing it, can be removed easily with nail polish remover and you can trim it as well if need be.

Couple more pics. The only one that sits out a little bit is the long eared sculpt for me with the faceplates. The other ones sit flush or very close to it. The scowling mouth open face seems to be the biggest offender FWIW. But as Hellion said they definitely aren't tight when in there, but can be remedied easily enough.

Awesome thanks! I will give that a try tonight, so far my favorite combo is the long eared cowl with the gritted teeth!

I know... it's a damn shame! The flash looked really nice in the previews, would have preferred a smoother material for the bodysuit but overall a nice looking figure – The Green Lantern figure, however, was a car crash... and what makes it worse is that the PF figure shows how it should have been! Not to mention SSC's complete disregard for overwhelmingly negative customer feedback,

If only Hot Toys was making the Green Lantern 1/6. They would use the proper shiny material for the suit instead of the pajamas Sideshow is using.

If Hot Toys ever branched out and did a comicbook based DC or Marvel line that would be the end of my bank account!

Anyone have both? I'd love to see them side by side.

I love the long ears on the black caped suit.

I wouldn't say this line is dead but definitely on life support. The lack of new announcements or previews isn't never a good thing and that's more the thing over the fact that The Flash isn't ordered yet. They admitted that there were issues with both The Flash and GL in the GL thread. Not even variants, a new Superman, a different Joker, a variant of Catwoman or Harley Quinn. There is a well to go to so they could keep the line going and keep interest but the fact they aren't going there is a telling sign.

It'd be a bit sad, they've fought for this license for so long, it was mentioned of being wanted by SSC 10 years ago in an SDCC Chat (remember those?) and the fact that it is fizzling is a bit sad.

At least they've got more out of this than the foray into Marvel 1:6.

I'll take some pics tonight. Any preferences on what you want on each one?

I wish they would. This line is no longer a priority with SSC. No new announcements in forever. At least the Marvel fans got the Punisher to PO. The Flash disappeared. SSC will not say a line is dead. It just quietly goes away.

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. Sideshow is clearly not up to the job.

I'm hoping he might get discounted 4 holidays and display him next to my grey & blue version. I cant believe we have not got a decent Robin wich would sell Superfast there's a big need 4 ROBIN in our collection's. Along with many more Villian's like Poison IVY to a huge BANE n bad @$$ REDHOOD. I know sideshow could ROCK a REDHOOD no human sculpt simple design like Deadpool.

Surprised someone hasn't made new mouth inserts for these figures like they have for the HT Dark Knight figures

I tried doing it but was disappointed with the result. If you try to respect real human proportions, then the mouthpiece tends to make the head look even bigger than it is. It's not an easy cowl to work with...

i had a go too , not a faceplate as such ,carved a existing head mouth and chin section , to sort of fit the mouth part of the cowl not great ,not horrible lol
rmont had a go as well ,his looked good though lol

I preordered this then cancelled because I thought the tights were light grey. I reinstated my order when I saw the in hand pics. This is a great looking figure despite face plates. Will be going a Miller Dark Knight inspired display. This will do great. Very excited for this figure.

I don't like the cape on this figure. I was hoping it would be the same material as the first version only in black; it is not. The black is rubbery. Actually, I would have liked it if they'd used the inside of the cape for the outside. Flipping it inside out works okay, but the stitching looks better as intended.
