That's not bad, Pix!

Is the Yoda articulated or best to get a Med VCD?

Yeah, the Hasbro yoda is crap.

The Medi-Yoda is not very articulated, but for an ESB yoda does it really need to be?

I know if you sent one to CustoMikey he could articulate it nicely for you though.

Thanks, I'll be interested to see if that 'blo backpack fits okay on the smaller SSC Body... looks like it should.

I actually tried it on Yavin Luke with MediYoda on his back and he balanced just fine. I can't wait to get this fig, so I can take pics.

Of course, for the Expanded Universe aficionados, this isn't just what Luke wore on Dagobah and Bespin. He would have taken this outfit with him on every flight mission between Episodes IV and V. Just as he would have worn his "Yavin outfit" on every non-flight or diplomatic mission ...

This is definitely going to be a fun one to photograph. ANH Luke was a bit to passive aggressive, and ROTJ Luke was very smooth in his fighting, but with ESB Luke, you've got pistol shooting, saber swinging fun :) I realize these are figures and you can do what you want with them, but I try to shoot within the character, poses that seem fitting for them, situations, that's why I don't go too nuts with pushing the posing limits, if it's not appropriate to the character, I don't care if the figure can do it.

Looks like Josh aka Darkartist is gonna get a bunch of gigs for these guys, repaints, tweaks, outfit weathering, distressing... for both Dagobah and FB Luke.. I plan to do something in between so I can pose him either way.

Can't wait to see what Josh comes up with.

Weathering his outfit, colorwise, shouldn't be too hard, same principles that I and others used to weather Aliens marine camo should work for this too, a little paint, a little water and bam, dirty Luke. I plan on leaving him as is though.

Well, the interesting thing is that you can get either go for Dagobah style Luke (dirty and sweaty), Bespin Luke (sweaty, bloody, dirty AND weathered) or factory clean.

My favorite will be the Duel Bespin style... will need to sand down spots on the clothing for maximum wear, soak him down and lightly paint for sweat, dirt here and there, and a slightly bruised face.... :rock

Either way, I am going to be very excited to paint him up! In ALL the various ways it can be done.

Should look impressive Josh, and I hope my comment didn't belittle what you do with these things, that method would just get the tip of the weathering iceberg that you accomplish.

I hope someone asks you to do Luke fully beatup for the "I AM your father" reveal, the roughing on his face would look so good from you.

I realy wanted to like this figure, and further down the line if i can pick it up cheap i'll probably get it, but it's basically just a very average figure, average sculpt, poor tailoring, tired body. Everybody says 'Oh, it'll look fine once you switch out the body for a Dragon or Hot Toys", well you shouldn't freakin have to!
For a lot of people (not me, it' farm boy or nothing) this is their definitive Luke as Comander Skywalker in his Rebal fatigues, Empire is top of the list for a lot of fans, and this figure really needed to be right, but it isn't, it's just kind of OK!

Oh man, it's all good.... Your comments weren't wrong in the slightest. I'm all for people trying their hand at weathering. I love seeing other approaches anyway, anything to further the figures. :rock

And I know at least mine will be the fully beaten Luke... so you WILL see that from me. :D

Nothing wrong with that! :D Actually the outfit looks fine, no puffy shirt there. I don't think the undershirt has much to do with it, just needs a water treatment. I have alot of figs with undershirts and never had a puffy problem with them. Of course I will wait for Wor-Gar, the futz King, to settle this.

Thanks Roy!

My pleaure folks!

Need to note that I have photoshopping the below pic by turn down the contrast of eyebrow and the 2 edge spot of mouth...

I had to cancel this figure because of lack of funds, but I really hope to get this later. Especially since I skipped the other Lukes and my collection is rather lacking...
