Ya, you do see the t-shirt in the film, but any material thin enough not to puff his shirt wouldn't look like a t-shirt so they did their best, but it hurt the overall form, and my guess is that Luke's shirt is also on the thicker side and causing the same effects in the pictures we've seen so far.

You could always swap your old Hasbro Luke undershirt for the new one. I think it's much thinner material.

Anyway, I prefer the 'collar-up' pose, ready for a showdown pose anyway.

Hey guys, I just read a false fact somewhere that I sculpted this Luke portrait. That isn't true!!! I can't take credit for it, though I happily will. :D looks really great! the production piece is awesome!

I don't know who's responsible for him
Trev

Sorry for the bum steer guys. I coulda sworn I'd read somewhere on the forums that it was a Trev sculpt, but either it was wrong or I imagined the whole thing.

I must have missed something...was there something wrong with Yavin Luke? I thought the figure...sculpt, paint, and all...were great. Looks exactly like Luke Skywalker to me. Thank goodness it doesn't look like Mark Hamill. He wasn't a very good representation of Luke Skywalker anyway.

MaulFan...

On your T-1000 T shirst comp shots...
Forgive me, but I think the "With" one looks a lot better. A little padded perhaps, but the uniform in the "Without" shot looks like it's been slept in...not sharp and tight like the character looked in the film (and your "With" picture shows). Guess it's just a matter of perception...no right or wrong :)...

Plus...I like the extra clothes...gives more display options. Would hate all the comments about too many layers to influence SS into simplfying their presentations like Hasbro did towards the end...

Interesting experiment though...

Pretty much. All he does is come in and trash SS 1:6th when we all know he doesn't like them.

Which again begs the question why even bother commenting on them if you don't like them the way he does?

Because.....I do wish SS would make some quality 12" figures so I can justify buying them, but they dont seem to want to,as you can see from this new figure.

I do sound like a broken record I know this, but maybe if I keep up with it,SSC will finaly read my post's and do something about these hasbro looking figure's there making.:D

I really wish you'd stop talking like you have the almighty point of view around here. You're unhappy with this figure but I'm finding myself and many of my friends around here quite excited and happy with the figure, so as WE can see, it's a nice figure.

No offence in this but it sounds more like you want Medi quality at SS price. That isn't going to happen, just accept these for what they are. Nice pieces at affordable prices.

I agree it was a bit too loose in the torso area, but I just couldn't look past the shoulders, that mattered more to me. As for extras, don't get me wrong, I love the depth SSC clothes their figures to because it does give you options. I look forward to photographing this figure and having the tank opens up options to shoot Dagobah training images.

[kneels in prayer] Oh mighty Diety (whichever you might subscribe to) please put down your ale cup and look down from upon Valhalla and smite those unfortunate souls who wish to drive a perfectly nice thread about an exciting new SS product into a tiring Medi vs. SS endless debate---- enough oh Great One... Smite them.

Please?

Looking forward to seeing that...may actually try some outdoor shots on that theme (considering portions of my garden is looking pretty done in & swamp-like about now:))

Do you have the medi Yoda (or the Hasbro one) to snap shots with?

It shouldn't be Medicom prices to get the proportions on their figures right.

Or tailor and hem their clothes better.

Especially if other companies can do better for the same price or less.

No Meid Yoda, have a few Hasbro's though. How's the green life up in Maine, I have trees here at my house that still haven't turned and fallen yet, at this rate I'll be shovelling them up instead of raking.

We're at the the endgame of fall up here in Vermont...just some last minute clean-up...trees for the most part are bare. I've got some cool areas nearby that should have some "Dagobah-like" landscape to get some shots in. I've got the Hasbro Yoda from the 12" "Dagobah Training" set that WM had as an exclusive several years back that should look okay (I hope)...

Forgot to mention an observation on the box art (courtesy of Roy's pics)...I REALLY like the film stills selection for this figure. I'm working on a stand that features a portion of the Bespin hallway to display Luke on and that shot will be most helpful.

Lookin' forward to having some fun with a SS figure again!

Sorry, I forgot it's Vermont not Maine. I'm sure your localles will work well. I dont' know if you've got the camera options and gear to do it, but making shots look more dark like Dagobah would look cool.

Nope,it really does suck, and what sucks even more is that the majority of you guys, including you Maulfan are blindly buying these figures and loving them and not even bringing up the issues that I bring up.:confused:Just think about it,hardly any of you guys complain 1 bit about these SS figure's.I think we would get some pretty kick ass figure's if everbody would do a little more complaning.
