sidenote(s) i was thinking of getting the keaton pf (and the every other damn batman pf (only batman)) to sort of have a display of every costume/version of him (since we know they'll release more)…thoughts?
plus I hear XM has gotten the DC license…if their wolverine/magneto is any indication..bats will be getting one helluva treatment..with no qc issues to boot

As much as I like XM's Marvel stuff, I am not sure if I will be able to pay the high prices for their DC statues.

PAGE 2k and 1…. and xm isn't pricey just the shipping (deja vu)…once more ppl order I'm sure we'll get a cheaper method up, etc..but damn…lots of options either way

Deja vu is right, the Conversion on the XM cap is $639 USD from the SGD. Even with an online retailer discount you're talking over $500. We complain about Sideshow prices and then look at XM's.

total for apoc is $660, including shipping. Waited close to a year…i got a great piece..many, many others didn't..the SS response was refund or return no replacement…thats a terrible standard…XM has already stated and shown they inspect every piece by hand..and no matter where u ordered from, if theres a problem, they'll fix it…everyone gets a great piece…i like and think their magneto and now their wolverine, and from what we've seen from their phoenix statue, so far so pretty damn good..the quality is above SS's, again from what we've seen. This isn't the right topic/thread for this, and lord knows I won't go on in a batman three to top it. But if they (and now PSC) is makin bats..its better for us that we'll be seeing higher quality and lower ES's.

and apoc btw to his head is shorter than the tops of batmans ears..its just his arm that is taller.

Batman is also on taller base and doesn't have near the girth of Apoc, it's not just height, you have to think about the 3 dimensional size of the piece.

And once again with DC the ES will be higher. And I couldn't care less.

I was asking my reseller who knows the XM guys today funny enough about the DC licence but there still trying. They haven't got it just yet but I guess these things take time, I don't know but I hope they do get it.

I actually much prefer mixed-media but XM are to good to be ignored

Saying all that, I've been really impressed with SS with there Comic DC line

How many pieces of each statue do they make, and what happens when you get a damaged statue and it has already sold out? Sideshow always attempts to replace first if they have something to replace with.

I wouldn't go into the apoc thread saying that..the general response has been, "we don't have one thats better than yours, u want a credit or a refund?" and this is with people who have cracks in their pieces, blurred and awful paint lines, wet paint, its all there…their CS has not been most favored recently to say the least..XM will replace and has replacements…they guarantee you'll get the right thing and ul be happy, simple as that

If you think about all the pieces with severe issues Rogue, Psylocke, Apocalypse(Although I have seen beautiful pieces and I think it's just OCD collectors and maybe a little hit and miss) ect. Most are coming out of the X-men line. Hell...the only Avengers piece I can think of was Spider-woman.

Yeah some people are a little too picky. Apoc was a disaster but I've been peeking in the thread and the regs seem to me coming out pretty good as of late. At least from pics I've seen. I remember some issues with Hawkeye but nothing like the others you mentioned. Ironically I actually own all of those and I've got some good paint apps on mine. Not so lucky with Apoc though.

The DC line is killer though. Not a single complaint on any of them which is crazy when you think about the ES on these. I know the fabric helps quite a bit vs fully sculpted but SS has been batting 1000 with everything released from DC so far. Wish they would have that luck with their xmen line

Yes but that wasn't as annoying to me as it was for others. I got a little sag in mine and was good with it. Chips, cracks, and running lines drive me nuts. Not down with those types of issues

I actually prefer the new Bat-symbol they used. The other one was too small and looked like an 80 year-old arts and crafts lady glued it on there. The pits, for some it was worse than others and out of what I mentioned, even it was terrible, was easy fix.
