If DW goes frameless, it might be doable. But I'd imagine these prints are best displayed with frames. If you're gonna pay that money for the print, you might as well class it up.

It sucks the frame option increased in price to $160

I was hoping to get Superman & Batman & Joker framed

and get Apocalypse on the side since Marvel doesn't allow a frame option.

Probably get at least 2 prints Batman & Superman framed.

You need to frame them regardless. Even if you do your own framing. The paper stock is very thick and clean and has a big border and unframed they come rolled. You would probably damage the print flattening it and displaying it without a frame.

Any idea how much getting these prints double matted generally costs? I'd imagine a bit more than $160 USD SS charges? Yeah I'm not sure why there aren't any framing options for the Marvel stuff.

It increased because with the first few framed prints, sideshow was selling it at a small loss. At $160 you are basically just paying cost. I've talked to the framer and sideshow isn't making money off the framed options. You are paying pretty much exactly what it would cost to take these to that framer and have them framed this way.

How much were they before $160?

Hmmm, I was going to get the unframed and then get a cheaper frame for it, with thinner borders, and put it behind the PF, but now I'm not sure which to get because I'm told the SSC frames are pretty high quality.

I just moved my Batman PF into a 1x3 and that thing is super heavy!!! I know the shelf is able to hold like 60-something lbs but I'm still worried it might start caving in... :lol My ED-209 and Robocop are underneath so I don't want all 3 to break if the shelf were to break... :gah:

Thanks for the info Surly. I think us Canucks have to pay a bit more due to the exchange rate plus shipping plus provincial taxes on top of that. :gah

The SS frames are absolute top quality. They are using Parker Jordan, a company near Los Angeles that does a ton of high end framing for Warner Bros (which is how I met the guy since I work at WB and he comes once a year and gives nice discounts to employees during their yearly WB art sale) and has been doing collectible/nerd culture framing for years. I had no interest in the sideshow frames until I learned who was doing them. Parker Jordan did some framing for me a few years ago on production drawings and cels I had bought and I just told the guy to do his thing and he did an AMAZING job. Really cool guy too who truly loves all this stuff.

Yeah I received a Mondo Art Print in the mail from Sideshow

It came rolled and a bit damaged.

It was nice of them to give me that for attending the Freaks party at con years ago.

really REALLY want that Apocalypse art print

Say what you will about Ariel's work, I think his prints for Sideshow are amazing.

I wanna see the full Joker print. I've only seen a sketch of it in the Sideshow calendar.

Do you guys think that is the Art Print for the Joker PF or Life Size Bust?

I am so getting this art print.

I was waiting for the Superman Print & Apocalypse
c'mon SS

I was really planning on finally ordering one of their prints when Batman came out, but this one is not doing it for me in the slightest. The B&W is super boring.

I'm curious, what does it look like?

Looks more like the LSB pose to me.
