I thought people blew the "pits" situation at of proportion. If you know what to look for, you might have a problem with it. Everyone I have shown bats to in person, NO ONE has ever commented on it. Are they a bit low compared to the proto? Yea but it looks fine to me.
Do you have a pic of yours, sarakawa? Maybe we can compare pics to show the older and newer?

This so-called armpit issue can easily be adressed with some minor tweaks. It's just a matter of pulling the cloth where it should be. Everybody gets the same pieces of material and stitching.

I don't really post anymore but while I'm here, I thought I'd share a tip. For those bothered by the armpits but not willing to "surge", you can simply try to push the cloth deeper in the armpit with a smooth blade (I used a credit card). Twisting the cloth on the arm can also help. It worked quite well with mine, anyway:

Gonna try that myself, not bothered by my pits but every bit helps. Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome. Did you try it?

Great review Chris!

I love my custom Jim Lee Batman head as well as my new Bruce Wayne head that I got through Francois.

As far as original heads, I do prefer the Andy B one over the Martin C head though. I just like the like the lower part of the face better.
One day, when I have money to spare, I might get them repainted. Too many other things on the horizon first though :)

Thank you, Alan. :)

I might get my originals repainted as well. Kevin is THE man. :)

Thanks again for the advice! I did it exactly as you suggested. Pushed up on the armpit with a credit card while twisting the arm fabric slightly. Made a world of difference to me. Took a before and after shot:

Which direction to twist? Counterclockwise?

I believe it was counter-clockwise (I don't have the statue in front of me at the moment.) Clockwise just pulled the material out of the armpit more, thus having the opposite effect that I was going for. It should be pretty obvious when you start adjusting the material. Just go slow and be gentle with it.

^ yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Mine is, to quote someone else, "decent" right now but I wanna see if I could tighten it a bit more without having to unglue/rip apart the fabric by the neck so if I could do it this way, it would be awesome.
