Sometimes with SS you get a great statue with a lackluster base. But this Bats was all around done right. You got a big bad bulky not gonna take no crap Batman and a gargoyle base that adds tremendously to the statue's appeal. If I were getting rid of all my PFs, I would still keep this Bats. I love him too much. :lol

I understand. My Bats PF will be in my collection for a loooooong time.

I ended up selling mine when I got my 1st P1 piece, but it was hard to let him go.

I'm going to buy one Prime 1 Batman to go with my Prime 1 Deathstroke. I'm waiting on a Arkham Asylum/City Bats. However, my PF is going nowhere. It'll stay in my collection and be displayed in my Big 7 JL PF lineup.

I was going to do that too (I have Sups/WW already) until I saw the new Lantern and Aquaman pieces(plus who knows when we will get Flash, Cyborg, or MMH). Just don't care for either of those new ones and decided to bail on the idea. I will still do them in 1:1 busts, but who knows if they will ever finish that line either.

It was long ago decided by a few of us that we would never let this thread die...Over 22000 responses and still going strong. This thread had over 1000 pages and 10 000 responses before the statue EVER shipped... lol

Yeah I remember that but I hadn't checked it really since I got the statue :p

Sticking with the Trinity is all good. They look great together. I'm not crazy about the new Green Lantern PF. I don't think it looks bad but I have the original PF and I've decided to stick with that one. I actually like Aquaman and I just got charged for him today so he'll be shipping out shortly. I'm just waiting on a Flash and Martian Manhunter PF. Even though I'd be fine stopping at the Big 7, I do have a serious soft spot for Green Arrow, Black Canary, Atom, and Hawkman too. So I can see my Big 7 PF lineup having a few additions. :lol

I have been planning to sell my EX for a few months now, I got the modern and it replaced it. I put the EX in another room and it has stayed there looking glorious but I got the box from storage so its real... I am sad to see him go but I cant keep them both.

I think the front looks phenomenal!

If I ever get the shipping notice I will be ordering this cape before the statue ever arrives. Will probably never take sculpted cape out of the box. Got is custom cape for Superman and he looks so much better....

Anyone else's lean towards the cape side? The pads aren't crushed.

I think most, if not all, of this piece has the leaning issue. I have just put a coin under the right side to resolve it and be stable.

Yes, the early batches especially have the leaning issue. It has to do with the placement of the pads on the bottom of the base. They weren't put on correctly to distribute the weight of the piece evenly. I just put a white quarter sized felt pad under the base where it's leaning and he's been perfect ever since. As a matter of fact, he doesn't wobble or move in the slightest now, so it's an easy fix.

The statue is just too hefty for the soft rubber pads SSC uses for their bases. The first day I displayed my Modern Age PF I placed a plastic ring at the spot where I saw others' bases have leaned overtime. It took me no effort to slide the ring in as it's not as tall as the rubber pads, but a week after I can no longer pull the ring out. I took no time and decided to replace the pads with 3M's Bumpons, taking into consideration the spot where the weight of the statue is concentrated. 8 months now and so far so good.

Thanks for sharing!

Happy to share an input, guys.

Yeah, bumpons, like most of 3M products, are amazing. Cheap solution for the leaning problem -- looks good and clean, too. I think the 14-piece pack costs only $2.50. I might buy a couple more packs for my Bat and Joker life-size busts. Found out while dusting them last week that the rubber pads underneath have already completely flattened! :gah:

I use the same exact ones for my statues. :hi5:
