Let's hope this is the case. If they don't hold themselves to the highest standard how can they expect their customers to. They should vow to never let an incident like Rogue and Psylocke ever happen again. Let's just hope that was a bump in the road and SS will be better because of it. Everyone makes mistakes I can understand that. No one is perfect. It's how they respond. I'll give anyone a second chance. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

after having a long break from collecting I'm pretty amazed at how many posts, videos etc. of bad sideshow products there is - I don't recall quality ever being a problem years back? Maybe I just forgot... I've never received a statue which wasn't top notch.

edit: I have my own idea about the items becoming more valuable or not. I dont think ES is the only 'problem'. I think making new statues of the same character also has an influence. ie the ringwraith on steed, now we get the PF which is gigantic and when he is sold out I think the old RWoS will be less saught after.
If a new Wolverine and Boba Fett PF comes out I couldn't care less about the ones that are out... if they're amazing ofcourse.

What do you guys think?

It's pretty simple. If its in demand and it's rare/limited its valuable. It's a special feeling having a piece like that in your collection.

Yeah I would jump on a new Fett PF for sure. I have grabbed the new Freddy PF so there you go case in point sniper; the original PF is hard to find and I'm happy with the new one so this could contribute to prices on the original one plateauing possibly? The original is still the original though, that can't change and it would always be worth more I would say.

This Batman PF will be the first SS Bats PF too - it will be known for that to collectors and people who weren't around at the time and want it will have to pay after market value for it whatever that might be. If the value of my PFs go up then that's cool with me but it's not the number one reason I grab em - it's because they look frikkin cool and my friends go 'oh ____!'

yea old items wont decrease value but I'm not seing myself giving 6-700$ for the first wolverine if a new one comes out - again being equally awesome. I love my RWoS to death, but I don't think it will increase value anymore... but then the hobbit comes out and the craze could start all over.... a difficult market to predict... not that i'm selling, but it is nice to have a great item... or 5.

Then we're in luck and SS QC is making sure we receive flawless PFs. I think it's much better they arrive late than to risk being rushed and have sloppy paint apps. As I said before, at these prices there is no excuse for sloppy work and SS knows it. Rogue is still in stock and she will be for a long time--now they're trying to give her away in contests lol--that was a complete and utter disaster on their part. I think SS learned a lot from that incident. I am confident that the DC line will come out perfect--they won't want to piss off that many fans with such an important license. I think the wait is good news and I know that SS will get it right.

I couldn't agree more. I sent Cobra Commander back for having a botched cape and bubbles in his chrome dome and for the prices of PFs I always expect perfection. It's DC. SS will make sure that our PFs in this line are perfect. I don't mind the wait at all if they're making sure the quality is excellent.

Unless what your talking about is a waitlist order. If you get on a waitlist it still shows up in your cart and then as an order on your account but until a piece becomes avaiable and your charged a NRD it is not a for sure that you'll get one.

The answer to your question is yes. People just get excited when SS charges their NRD and every payment thereafter whether it's a 1 time payment or flex-pay.
That's why they call em' freaks!
It gives them something to celebrate and post.
