Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I think you are on to something here. Look at his shoulder. It looks like there may be a seam. Perhaps not. I would like it to be the EX because I really am not crazy about the flow of the cape.

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet there is a switch out arm for the arch in the cape.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Perhaps the Ex. will be a raised arm holding the batarang. That would explain the odd orientation of the cape at his shoulder.

I'm afraid that's just wishful thinking - that looks to be a fabric seam.

"Well, it's fabric after all. Not much you can do about it."

I don't think the cape is fabric my man. Sculpted I think.

It may be but it also would explain why his leg is placed like it is. Like perhaps he is ready to throw something rather then just having to take a pee.

I also think that it makes more sense then just a change of the hand baterang as you would not even really be able to see it the way his arms are placed now. Would really be a sucky EX if that was all it was.

Also if this is true I think it will come with reg as well as the EX since the leaked photo did not show a raised arm.

It would be great if this were true as I really think it would improve this pose 100%

I would not be surprised as I could see SS really pulling out all the stops.

Yes, my bad, I misread that and had just edited my post.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Prediction....I think he will be poised to hit a Goon in the head with a rang. Not his wang!:monkey1:monkey3

I concur about the batarang not being that great of an ex on its own.

Well, everyone inside has been saying just how really über-great this PF is gonna be, so who knows.

We'll see soon enough. :)

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

There is no halfmasked portrait..... Maybe a mask that has more facial features on it but not half masked portrait. He's never really worn anything like that.

It would be nice with a COH feature included. I really did like the over exaggerated portrait as well, but the "newer" one looks cool too. Just saying Batman has always worn a full neck cowl, no half mask business.
Thank you for that. My point exactly. Why would SS make something that was never a part of any Batman design?

Cheers,
Neo.

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet there is a switch out arm for the arch in the cape.

Thinking more about this I've come to a crossroads:

1. If the Ex. has a switchout arm, then the costume is sculped, thus no pj's. This would explain why the tights look better than any mixed media PF ever has.

2. If the PF has a cloth costiume, a switchout arm would be problematic, if not impossible to convincingly execute.

Gentlemen, your thoughts...

Well, It wouldn't be the first time there has been a seam at the shoulder with a fully sculpted PF. Why couldn't they do it with cloth. There would be a seam yes. But would it look terrible. don't know.:dunno

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Outfit seems to be cloth. Otherwise, I think his muscles would be better defined. And the pic someone posted a couple of days ago (the really small one) seemed to show the ex. as just the same pose, but focusing on his side, as if he's just holding a Batarang to his side instead of a fist or whatever.

I just think a Rang down to his side would be kinda lame if it was identical to the Reg non rang arm. They have to know that. Might as well not put anything in his hand. Plus the pose is kinda suited to throw something IMO.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I think the Jason Voorhees COH had cloth on both as well as the body. If can be done. Make the cloth tight enough (which it looks to be) and it would fit in just like a regular sculpt.

I agree 100%. His cape does not look like it's just flowing in the wind and there has to be a reason for his right leg to be tilted in like that.
