I think this is freaking awesome personally. Fett looks bad @$$ in any color apparently. Its a cool thing for us Star Wars history buffs and probably not anyone else. Surprised he's a general release and not just a full exclusive. The Exclusive beach towel cape is one of the best exclusives ever though!

Did you watch the video Sideshow poste of the screen test the figure is based on? His cape was the beach towel. They didn't even have a real cape for him yet

The fact that they didn't change the armor and the crappy flat look with the plastic...after everyone on here complained about it...even a customize thread had to be started....the fact they put this out the same way just says to me how the Company has turned for the worse. It is very disheartening to me...I was a huge Sideshow supporter...Their prices have gone way up and the cool factor has gone way down. And I dont want to hear about the price of plastic being high. I just bought the Neca 1/4 Iron man...and he was $90 and you could have made 3 sideshow figures out of him.

That's it for me. The haters sure seem to outweigh those who like it.

I also love how surprised people act when they see the price of a figure...and not just this one, but any figure. Some of you act like you just started collecting yesterday and have never seen prices increase before. It's the nature of the beast. We have whole threads dedicated to it.

I'm no Boba Fett fan but this is pretty cool. If I was into having conceptual stuff this would be something I could see myself getting (if I was more into SW). Not sure why its getting hate for but everybody has their reasons. As far as price goes its only $5 more right? That was a big deal in say 05/06 but now it shouldn't be.

I really don't get this whole idea.

For me this figure is cool because:

1. It's Boba Fett.

2. This particular Fett is the antithesis of the idealized, revisionist, digital version of Star Wars and represents all the glory of the unfinished, unrefined, and insanely inspired creative process that brought us that magical first trilogy.

Obviously it's not for everybody, another reason I like it.

I'm not a SW history buff, but I did order it, simply because I order anything I like when I see it, and this figure was an instant like. I don't care if it was in a movie or not - If I did care, I would not have Talon, snow troll, or Samurai Predator to mention a few.
As for the bulky armor - Looks same as in the video to me. The whole fig looks same, except the visor.
