1/6 SSC Captain America Sixth Scale Figure

I like this line. All i have is Deadpool, but i'm very tempted by the Punisher and Thor. The pricing is a huge turnoff... Until they release a classic Iron Man, then i'll go all in.

I love that classic Iron Man look. Sideshow did a great job interpreting it for the statue. I would go for a Sideshow 1/6 version of that.

After my initial excitement the more I look at the this the more it is an easy pass.

I don't think the headsculpt looks bad, but I get the feeling of "welp, I'm Captain America" when I look at the expression.

While I agree, at least it's not another angry old dude with fat wrinkles all over his face.

Too bad this will be $250+. I would go for it for maybe $150.

Yep. I'm def gonna wait and see if the price drops.
I'll never pay more than 150 for a SSC figure.

Looks pretty well executed, but it's just an ugly character design, like DD was. I would also prefer SSC just go with classic comic designs instead of these weird pseudo- comic interpretations.

I don't know if i'd call it as ugly as bib devil. I mean these are always going to be sideshow's take on the designs for better or for worse, but I think we got a pretty good middle ground here. Between the chest mail and headsculpt.

Frankly, i'm surprised they've taken so long to get into the big avengers. What does everyone think his exclusive will be?

Probably something stupid,unless it's a classic winged head sculpt. It would certainly sell better with that

An unmasked head would be nice. At least he'd be on par with the Marvel Legends 12 inch figure lol.

Yeah I could definitely see an unmasked sculpt being the exclusive, but a winged classic sculpt would be cool.

I’d say, off prototypes alone, this is my favorite. But unless they’re throwing in unmasked sculpt or interchangeable face pieces and tons of other accessories, I ain’t paying $250. $200 and below, I’d consider it. Cartoony face doesn’t bother me since he’s a kind of comic version. If Avengers 4 Cap has mask and scale mail armor, I’d probably pick that over this. Still, nice looking Cap figure.

This looks way better than the SS Daredevil and Thor. As a big Cap fan, I am inclined to get this. But not at $250. Will wait for a deal.

Figures from this line always have unrealistic cartoony heads.

Sorry I missed the part when you mentioned it was the most realistic, I thought you just said the most comic accurate.
What I'm saying is that if someone with skill took a good photograph of the figure it might convince you that it's a photo of a real person like Hot Toys and QMX have achieved at times.
This is well sculpted but it will never convince you that it's a real person.

While I yet again agree that they should stop producing something people do not want... At least this time it's a cross between 616 and Ultimate costumes. It could look better, of course. It always can with SSC.

Personally I like it. If they include a classic wing head sculpt, I will not be able to resist purchasing it.

And that is coming from someone that already owns a classic 1/6 Captain America.

I would also love a classic 1/6 Iron Man figure.

OMG I personally love this, I think its perfect, the sculpt is a great accompanying pce. to the others ( IMHO )
I think a body swap is in order ( as I have done on all my SS marvel ) but all in all I think its great.

Wow this looks like a nice Cap figure, I've not been to interested in the movie version of CA, and I may bite on this comic inspired version.
