SSC CHAT: Wolf Predator 1/4 Statue Confirmed?

I also want to make it clear that I love the Wolf Predator despite the hatred others have expressed towards him. But if it came down to one or another I would choose the Elder every time.

~~Depending how this one looks, this thread has me thinking about selling my Wolf 1:1 to pay for this.

I think this is pretty darn close if not right on the button. The original maquette was $1k right?? I'm sure there's some inflation to add to the new one.

~~Why haven't they made a P2 or P2 Elder maquette yet?? Strange that they keep pumping out items from movies that everyone hates, yet ignore the characters that would most definitely sell out in a heartbeat. (I would sell anything to ensure I had $$ to pay for a P2 Elder maquette)

^^^I know all about that bust. I tried to scrounge up the cash to get one a couple years ago from someone on the Hunsters Lair. I should've sold my 1/6 Predators to get that bust.

I'm surprised there's no P2 in the near future. I thought in the past that P2 was the one they always alluded to as being the next maquette.

Maybe they're having trouble getting rights to the Winston Preds right now? Did anything change with partnerships and licensing when he passed?

Idk, i asked about the P2 bust awhile ago, and they assured me he would happen soon, but he wasnt in development yet. They would have to go through Legacy to get the rights, so Im sure Legacy wants to do it, and not let Wang do it, but they are busy with all the Marvel crap right now.

I would definitely buy a Wolf maquette. No doubt about it. Loved the character despite the unfortunate terrible movie.

And if Wang is involved it will be awesome.
His work on the Predator CM was absolutely amazing.

What im concerned with is the price point....hopefully its not too much.

Time will tell. I cant wait to see what it looks like - I really hope they show it off at comic con this year!


I would also prefer a P2 or Elder maquette before this one, but im also ok with waiting as I know they will most definitely get to those pieces in the future.

hehe well he only made 15 of them and its a bit on the small side

but there are a new player in town who has made a great new elder that you can get atm ... check out scott marshalls new elder on the lair ...
Also bagy has made one now ill be getting them both.

ohh and if you want a resin one the kaibutsyua elder is based on the moris head and its a stunner with a great open mouth pose

you are forgetting Stags custom made Elder that was also based on the Morris head Jimmy, pics coming real soon....He is a BEAST!!

Yeah, Scotts is dead on, but it sounds like they will only be selling them through ebay. Murph made his without all the high res shots that we have now of the Elder, so because of that, you gotta admit, he came pretty darn close. He did knock the dreads out of the park though; I have seen some other great sculpts, but I havent seen anyone perfect the look of the dreads like he had. If Scott made his out of resin, theres no doubt I would sell my Murph one for his.

hahaha yeahh its a stunningly beutifull head i cant argue with that
and as you say hes dead one and he managed to capture the essence of the elder IMHO
i think he sponged the dreads not airbrushed them in fact and this can be wrong i heard that peter did not use a airbrush on the head at all.

Ill be sure to post all my elders in a group photo once i recive them wich should be in 2 -3 weeks time.
that way we can have some fun arguing over wich one we like the most hehehe

PS i would not trade my PM elder for anything imho you cant beat the paintups on the latexheads not sure why but i feel that the latexheads looks much more real when done than the resin ones do.

I would think "howl at the moon" could also refer to the Predator 2 - particularly the scene on top of the gargoyle with the spear raised.

with terminator, IM mark III already released in this scale, do u think they will make the wolf in the same scale?
