I thought about it last year, but then procrastinated too long... I will probably do the same this year... :D

Yep, planning on entering. I don't get to use my video equipment nearly often enough, seems like it'll be fun.

I just don't know how the SDCC trip prize would work. I mean you should already have your tickets if you plan on going and have everything booked right? So would Sideshow just pay for that if you won and chose that prize? Did they get an extra couple of passes under their name (which would be awesome if it let you in after and before hours!)?

Well, I didn't get my passes before they sold out, so free passes would work for me! Although SDCC is within driving distance for me and so the $2500 gift certificate would definitely be the way to go.

I assume you'd get an exhibitor pass (which does let you in before hours) and hotel and they'd spring for airfare. Definitely worth it.

I would assume that if the winner has already booked their trip, and they choose the Con prize rather than the $2500 in Sideshow collectibles, they would be reimbursed for the parts that are included in the prize terms and conditions. (but I will check for sure Monday)

That being said, I would highly advise that no one books first class tickets and a 5 star hotel room with the thought that they're for sure gonna win the contest ;) :lol

I don't even have a video camera, or know how to edit videos :rotfl.

But, I'll be keeping an eye on the submissions - they're quite entertaining!

Just found out that we *cannot* reimburse for people who have already made plans for Comic-Con (should one of those people win the contest). I think it might be that that would then make it a cash prize and change some of the legalese. (and as far as I know, the pass for the Con prize would just be a normal 4-day guest pass to begin with - we usually get a few of those since we are one of the largest exhibitors at the Con)

Oh, and even though it says 'gift card' on the contest page, I DID confirm that the $2500 is a gift CERTIFICATE, meaning it's good for any new order, Pre-Orders included (but not Wait Lists or standing orders) :duff

Holy cow! What a prize! Assume 5-star hotel will be Omni (LOVE that place). First class tickets. What an incentive for our international friends (US folks too). and an AP Balrog. *swoons*

*Wishing I was tech proficient and creative*

Good luck and hope a Freak wins!!!!

Hey kids! Anyone entering? (Besides P!tu?)

Great prize - and a great chance to show your movie making skillz!

I entered. Took me two days to shoot what is essentially the most simplistic and least complex video ever made, two days(download three types of software/ compatibility issues/ layering hang ups) to edit and 8 hours to upload (FTP kept messing up on me). I am horrible with computers, editing, etc. I loaded my entire collection into a borrowed truck, drove across town in heavy race traffic and unloaded them under an umbrella in the rain into a vacant house for the shoot where I unpacked and displayed everyone of them only to repackage them hours later in the dark roach infested house. I have my fingers, toes and any other pliable appendages crossed on this deal. I've never been to comic con or California so I am jazzed to have the oppurtunity to even try. All of the prizes were awesome this year and even though while making the video I was generally frustrated, looking back already it was a whole lot of fun.:chew

That was a whole lot of effort put into it, funny also, good luck with that!
