good paint job every thing but the eye shadow makes him out to be lady like sorry was not meaning to offend you that was a great repaint but man him up

One of the finest repaints I've seen.

I like it alot, it looks just like something HT would do. I would like to see it with a good camera though, the "blue" eyeshadow effect the picture gives it, takes away what seems to be an excellent re-paint.

Thanks for the kind words (from some) on the Duke repaint, and thanks Val for posting here (was getting around to doing it). That's a pretty crappy Iphone pic I posted, and is really magnified so the "eye shadow" and "liver spots" may seem more prominent. No eyeshadow was applied - the area around the eyes was kept a little a lighter (it only looks blue in the pic). And the "liver spots" are just some mottling/freckling added to give a little texture and depth to the sculpt - Sideshow unfortunately still sculpts figures with smooth skin, thus lacking the texture that catches light and depth (like DID, HT). I was going for a battle weary, slight sunburned (and maybe a little raccoon-eye tanned) look for Duke after a hard day outdoors kicking Cobra butt. This is my fifth headsculpt repaint so I'm still learning and trying new things. I also did some mods to Duke's body, and replaced his paints with a roomier replacement (didn't like the skinny jean look he came with). I also color matched his arms and neck to match the HS repaint. I'll post some better pics when everything is done.

i like the repaint. the photo is an extreme close up. in a natural display setting you ain't even gonna see the so called "eye shadow" detail anyway. i really don't see a problem here.

if anybody wants my advice, i would say never post a close-up headshot on this forum cuz the baby-birds will pick it to pieces.

Yeah its Kuato, and yes he did retire. But when I asked him, I didnt know he had retired. He told told me he would re-paint mine because he had not yet re-painted a Duke or a Flint and he wanted to try it. Lucky me.

That is the main reason, I dont care for the sculpt, personally I just dont see Flint.
