Heh, there are even a handful of warhammer stuff that cost 100$ and up for a single unit.
you think 1/6th scale stuff is expensive?
Take a look at miniatures gaming. i dropped 5 grand in under 3 years when i was REALLY into it, and that was moderate spending ( building 3 armies)
Also, just like getting custom heads painted, People will spend 50-200$ PER UNIT for what is known as "pro painted" minatures.

Examples:

Dreadnaught , non metalic metal paintjob. approx 2.5 inches tall.

An inquisitor, model is approx 28mm not including the base.



And some lunatics custom sculpt the 28mm guys, then paint them, like this

that's probably a 600$ guy right there.

So yeah... 1/6th scale stuff is cheap in comparison.....

Great googely moogely! My brother used to buy and paint this stuff. But I am sure he didn't go that far and I had no idea it was so expensive.

He did spend about 5,000.00 on MTG cards. His wife was irate until he sold just the extras that he had and brought in 15,000.00.

But that was a long time ago.
