thanks to sideshow, folks now have to open an interest thread for a custom jack burton sculpt AGAIN.
i dont have faith in sideshow doing human portraits.
im happy this figure is getting made.
but im furious why it had to be sideshow, ****in hell.

The sculpt is nice and if you are worried about the paint that easyly be repainted. Sideshow have come a long way since the Nathan drake fiasco, they changed factories consulted with Hot Toys. This figure might be $240 but make the math for a custom these days.

We always say things like this about SS ; new factory, come a long way, easily repainted, etc. We need to stop making excuses for them. Step the **** up or get the **** out of 1/6 SS.

Day One PO for me, but like almost everyone has said so far, hope the production piece is at least 90% as good as prototype. Fingers crossed.

Well comparing this to the proto for Snake, I feel this one is much stronger at the start. If it goes down some I think it will still be a stronger release.

This is an awesome announcement. I'm not much of a 1/6 collector, but I'm even tempted to pick this up.

I think the prototype looks good but not great. Still a notch below what we are seeing from HT, Blitzway and Star Ace IMO. Can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the hair is too big up top. I'd definitely remove the jacket and just display with wifebeater even if the body has to be swapped out. Glad to see the Eyeball. If it's the EX I'll definitely preorder.

Unfortunately with these latest licenses Sideshow doesn't seem to go too deep into the character catalogs beyond just the main character (ex. Beetlejuice). So not sure if we would even get Lo Pan, not to mention Rain, Thunder and Lightning. That's why it would have been nicer to see one of the smaller, hungrier companies get this license. You'd see them at least commit to at least a few character, and they would probably focus on getting everything perfect so they could continue building a reputation. Sideshow is probably just going for the quick cash in and moving on to the next relatively cheap license with an iconic character. So wouldn't be surprised to see The Thing (MacReady with a creature, but no Childs), Blade Runner (Deckard, but no Roy, Rachel or Pris), and others along those lines.
