Nice pics (as always) King :)

Still curious what Evil Duke looks like on Hawk...

:rock

Anyway, Zartan is sweet! Nothing to complain about. Works perfectly fine on the Sideshow body, but wanted the exposed abs. Swap is easy.

Accessories are all sweet. I like the magnets on the ammo pouches, that was a nice touch. Sideshow did a great job with the stitching on everything. I like the shoulder armor and chest plate, may or may not paint it. In hand, it looks darker than in pix, undecided there.

Wish the pants and hood material where the same color. I was thinking about dying the hood material and pants to a matching brownish color, but not sure how bad the dyed hood with stain the HT body. Hmmm:tap

Overall, very very happy with Zartan. Straight out of the box he is a winner. Only the most dedicated need fix or swap anything with Zaratan.

Duke head is cool too. And the face looks like Liam Neeson :lol
hey king what body u use for Zartan? that looks crazy hot..:clap

I don't know about anyone else, but I think having Zartan around would be an excellent excuse for a second take on some of the earlier guys (sorry Flint). Something like a disguise "headpack"? Seeing how well they did with Duke, I can't help but wonder.

Nah, it's a perfect, cocky smirk. It's that, "I own your ass" look which is fitting given Duke's G.I. Joe's Top.

Maybe in pics, but in hand he looks like he's up to something not so nice. Its definately the not the true American hero, mom, and apple pie Duke smile. Its a Zartan smirk. But it does beat the original head sculpt. I just wish we could get some "Zartan" packs with a 'disguise' head of Flint and others. Who knows, maybe blue SDCC Zartan will have one?

And great pics King, as usual. But I'm not sure the exposed abs is really working with this figure. Maybe if you used a larger muscle body. The armor makes him look kinda small on the TT 19 body. Maybe the Arnold body would look better? The Barny body is too fat, not enough abs to make showing them off worth while :lol This new Sideshow body has some really big arms!

I'm thinking we'll see a Flint as Cobra Trooper disguise pop up at some point as a convention or domestic exclusive. Give people the chance to update their Flints and those who missed out on the Cobra Trooper, a chance at another one. Plus it gives Sideshow an excuse to avoid the dreaded reproduction of existing figures.

I think you're right Nam.
I'd prefer a domestic exclusive for a new regular release Trooper over a convention excl., we need more Cobra Troopers!

Couple more shots....

@Buttly...

Yeah, the waist does look pretty small in the pix, but in hand your eye can see the roundness of the waist and it doesnt look so small and flat on the sides, like straight lined or something. Don't know if that makes sense or not :dunno

just made the conversion myself. I think the waist is too small for my preference. The pants are too big and would need a little hemming or tightening the belt.

If I were willing to give up the articulation I think a ACI Andrew would look bad ass.

Would look less skinny if you ditch the pistol belt altogether.

I "Han Solo'd" the pistol belt, and moved 2 pouches down behind the holster and it looks MUCH better. His waist isn't nearly as busy or thick with accessories now. Plus, I kept the chonies with the swap.
