SSR custom series 1/6 Scale Red Hero

Features:

- Head sculpt
- TBLeague M35 figure body w/ full costume
- "Hidden arm effect" which didn't show in picture

I was surprised this didn't have it's own thread so I figured I would start one. I have pre-ordered mine from Onesixthkit.

Unlike SSR's Kingdom Come Superman head sculpt which is amazing, I was a bit iffy on the head sculpt.
My problem was solved when I found this sculpt (which I really like) on eBay which I received today.
Now I am really looking forward to the original Captain Marvel joining my collection.

I was really looking forward to this figure,but the headsculpt is off putting. Glad there's another head option, however I want a painted one.

Probably didn't have its own thread because it sucks. Old school looking CAPTAIN MARVEL that anyone with that DC Direct 13" version anyone could've had 20 years ago.

That portrait is total yikes. One of my kids looked at it earlier and wondered why Shazam had a bad guy face.

I saw this the other day on IG. Great looking Kingdom Come Shazam except for the expression. I think they hit the more sinister vibe when they tried to copy the DC Direct 6.75” figure’s sculpt.

A definite upgrade over the old 13” DC figure from back in the day especially if you’re gathering a proper KC 1/6 collection.

Thats where I am at with it. I love Shazam, but this one looks too evil-chubby smirk. I guess I lean more on CC Beck Cape. Marvel than I do on Ross.

I contacted SSR on IG to share some feedback about making changes to the head to make it look less evil.
While not a definitive answer, they said they will consider it

I agree 100% but the DCD Shazam head was perfect in appearance. If we could get that head to scale for the SSR Shazam, I'd be one happy camper.

Yeah, that sculpt looked great. SSR’s 1/6 translation of it just missed the mark a bit.

This Shazam looks great. I guess since the it's Kingdom Gone the head sculpt matches but it should of came with a less evil one. I have been looking for an upgrade as the Shazam mego was one of my first toys.

That looks great! I ended up getting the Tweeterhead Super Powers statue instead, as it was a lot cheaper and I'm unsure of the face - it will be good to see more pics, especially a close up.

Thanks mate, I was able to get it new for $300 AUD (~$207 USD), so I was very happy.
