I'm hoping for the white girl from kill bill. and the black girl and the Asian girl and the other Asian girl. And the other white girl.

And the white guy.

I LOVE this. And know exactly every character you are referring to :lol

So did they actually show anything?

So much anticipation over nothing shown.

It's getting all worked up for an exotic show girl revue you only read about in Thailand only to find out what's finally revealed is not necessarily what one thought it was going to be.

They probably won't for a while. They first teased the 300 license at NYCC last year and they've only just put Leonidas up for PO, so it could potentially take just as long for a figure to be shown.

Sorry for being so uncool for not getting it, but can someone please explain this to me? I've watched this movie a few times and I think I get the references to the characters, but did someone in the movie make Tarantino-style references to other people in that way?

Nah it was potato being a potato and refusing to use names. Distinction through ethnicity is far easier for a potato-brain.

Ok, gotcha, thanks! It got confusing going further back on the thread...until I saw potato's post, lol.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Didn't they have Pan at their last show as one of their licences? That movie bombed so I doubt they'd ever make a figure from the film.

They must have picked these licences up for cheap.

I also think there's too many licences too soon and they want to be careful that they don't turn into ThreeZero.

They do have the license for Pan, and last I heard they'll be releasing Blackbeard because of all the work put into him, with the hope that Jackman being popular and all will get some of their costs back. That will be it though for the licence thanks to how the movie turned out. Of course, they could no longer be releasing Blackbeard and just moving on entirely. Licences for coming soon movies and new franchises are a bit of a gamble, I'd imagine.

Star ace generally does 1/6?

Previously known as X-Plus, they're mostly known for their Harry Potter figures now, but have figures out or announced for 300, The Great Escape and Underworld. They also have a Marilyn from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes coming, but so far only have a headsculpt.

Their HP releases have all been good to very fantastic so far, in all honesty.

Hear hear.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

So I think ill buy any figure they make from these lines but what do we want to see most?
For me my top 5would be:-
1. Odell (Jackie Brown)
2. Lewis (Jackie Brown)
3. Jackie Brown
4. Jimmie (Pulp Fiction)
5. Honey Bundy and Pumpkin (Pulp Fiction)
OK that's kind of six but you gotta have the last two together.
May seem strange choices but I have Rainman and Masterworks Jules and Vincent and don't know if Star Ace get better them and also have Iminime Bride and Oren.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Ordell
Jules
Vincent
Butch
Louis
Ray Nicolet
Bill
The Bride
Marsellus Wallace

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Star Ace has done some nice stuff so far. I can see them easily topping the Rainman and Iminime Jules and Vincent. Neither of those sets was that great in the sculpt department. I can live with lesser quality clothing if the figure is 75% less than an overpriced custom and the heads are better likenesses. I can see this company pulling that off.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Just saw this. Nice!! I sure hope they turn out good
