Star Wars 1/6 Retro Storage & Display idea

Does anyone know if there are any customizers and 1:6 fans who do any custom storage and display options with a nod to the good old days?

Given how much space boxes take up, for those not OC enough to have to keep the boxes (or even those can’t part with regardless), I thought it might be cool to have retro options like these. I get that the collectors case would be suitcase-sized, but I think it could be cool.

Interest? Thoughts?

I have been toying with trying to design something like this for a while. Not necessarily retro inspired, but I like that idea now that you mention it.

I've got too many boxes and at some point will need to sacrifice some of them, but I'd like to develop something like this system. DX figure type foam inserts. Layer for accessories and hands etc.
