What, really? *Googles Rebels voice actors*

Wow, I didn't realize that Lars voiced the character on the cartoon. I actually think that's really cool that they kept him then despite the paunch.
A lot of folks gained weight over Covid lockdowns. They learned how to turn their stoves on.

Same thing. Thrawn's stuck on a planet. The witches probably whipped up gourmet meals 'coz he's snooty that way. Was probably eating space whale blubber smothered in a beurre blanc.

And having the Mortis god temple or whatever could *mysteriously* close out Baylan's story.:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2 may
Ray Stevenson rest in peace. That's what I'd do. They had a great ending shot and just leave it for fans to speculate. I'd buy his fig, coz he was awesome.

If I were a witch the first thing I would be doing is magicking up some meals. Cooking cleanup is the absolute worst.

lol

I enjoyed the show quite a bit. I found the character interaction intriguing, but it's pretty clear that this series was intended to lay the ground work for something far larger. So while it may not have been quite as EPIC as I was hoping, I enjoyed it all.

I can see that Filoni wanted to finish up the Rebels story arc before anything else, but what I was really hoping for was some time jumping back to Ahsoka's earlier days just prior to Fulcrum, and exploring her initial meeting with Luke and that entire conversation about Father and Son! Luke never really knew Anakin at all, and Ahsoka has ALL of that to offer him.

But failing all of that, if I can get Hayden to utter the name "Luke" in a Star Wars show/movie, that might be enough for me to die happy!

Rewatched the final episode again, I just noticerd that the statues thay Baylan was standing by were the Mortis Gods.

Exactly, I'm 51, when the OT ended that was it, it was over. If you wanted more Star Wars you had to read comics, or books or eventually the occasional fan films, like Troops, etc. Now we have more Star Wars that I could have ever imagined as a kid. Is it all good, no, but Star Wars was never Citizen Kane. What it is at least to me , is enjoyable, entertaining, it takes me to a place where I was young once. Makes me forget about the real world for a bit. As far the stories are going, if you told me in 1977 that witches, zombies, WBW etc. would be in Star Wars I wouldn't believe it, but Star Wars needs to evolve. The Skywalker , Vader story can only be stretched so much, we need more stories, new locations, new adventures.

DAMN.

(spoilery review beware)

I wanted to write this review before reading any other comments that might take me off this wonderful high this show has been. Reading all the BS naysayers can really be a bummer, since what we have here is some of the best SW stories since the OT.

We have such amazing detailed character arcs paying out, in a way that keeps the adventure and wonder alive without much room for anyone to complain. Between the great acting, effects and score , I think this show was a tour de force (pun intended) of the SW Disney has been struggling to find. This series has been the almost pedect blend of adventure/fantasy/lore and yes, nostalgia.

The ending tied in so many much loved arcs from the SW universive in an almost perfect way.

The saber fights are what should have been in the PT, gritty, samurai like close combat duels that would give Errol Flynn a run for his money. I watched the finale twice already and with the exception of a few cuts, they seem natural and flawless. Organic is the word that comes to mind.

Our main character Ashoka had grown through the story back to the Jedi she was headed toward back in TCW. And most importantly, we see her master has been there behind the scenes , trying to make up for his mistake, and finish what he began. There is some trouble with this idea of course, but I am sure it will be worked out. Perhaps as a force ghost, you can only help in the student/master role. It does fit if you take that as cannon.

Sabine is finally moving away from the pretentious character we have always known i to a deeper more interesting hybrid of Jedi and Mandalorian.

Thrawn, while showing he is the master tactical leader he always was , has also shown he has changed into a more flawed and even angry despot. Who clearly is afraid of the Jedi.

We see Ezra as something more than the warrior Jedi, yet he maintains the mischief of his youth. IF I had a complaint, it would be to see more of Ezra and how he has changed.

That leaves us with the characters with the LEAST interesting end. Baylan ans Shin. The tragedy of Rays passing is made even more depressing seeing how such and interesting character may end up scrapped and reduced due to his demise. One cannot help but feel a bit cheated on this front, by dragging out that arc, we may never see what was really intended.

Shin, also a great character, was also sort of wasted, as we seem to have only gotten 1/4 at most of her tale.

However, it gives us something to look forward to. Ezra and Shin have alot of story yet to tell.

And DAMN, that score ......music can make or break film, and they have NAILED the score and cinematography....its just a beauty to watch and hear. (sound effects as well)

Its been a wonderful few weeks to be a 51 year old SW fan......so grateful to the folks at Disney for plugging away to finally get a show that hits ALL the marks so well.

Ok now to read all the trolls bashing this for internet points.....you cannot take away what was made here.
Hey @ajp4mgs I found their target audience. :chase

Welll I have been out of town for a bit and was not able to see the last three episodes during that time.

I finished them today.

Overall this is easily my fav Star Wars property since R1. It’s not perfect but neither was R1 :) my thoughts on each episode are
1st episode was lame
2 and 3 were very good
4 was OT level great
5 was TCW great
6 was ok
7 was very very good
8 was…. Ok.

I liked parts of 8 and was happy to figure out it was not an ending point but a beginning as the episode felt so small for a final confrontation.

Someone has to teach the actors how to better portray blocking laser blasts with their sabers. Took me out of the show every time.

I am beginning to think that every time Ahsoka looks good with a saber in a duel it’s a stunt double cause there are times the fighting is slow and awkward.

I feel everyone was cast perfectly
Sucks that we lost Ray
Looks like Shin is on her was to redemption :(

But this show looked great, the music was great, the action was the best of all the series, and I enjoyed the characters and story overall.

8 out of 10.

I fear that you're correct about Shin. I was really hoping she was going to make her way back to Thrawn and eventually get the Savage Opress treatment (rather than Morgan Elsbeth) and become sort of an Asajj Ventress 2.0. Given how leery she was of the Nightsisters there was no way that was going to happen in the finale but I thought it could happen in a Season 2. But the Ahsoka/Morgan duel was the highlight of the finale so I can't complain about that choice too much. I just hope Shin gets a good character arc and much more screen time in S2 or whatever comes next.

I thought the same thing. Even her training looks slow and awkward. Dual wielding is difficult to begin with, but then throw in an older actor to boot ... I'm not blaming her for not being great at it, she's obviously put some work in, but it is what it is.

Sadly I think she's slated for the Filoni space pirate treatment like the salad pirate and Hondo. What with taking up with bandits and all.

Filoni seems to love his "rogue" females especially if they shave part of their head. *&^$#.
Things in the world just aren't going well. Bad karma. Stock markets bouncing, winter is coming, now a promising arc fizzling into trope. :monkey2

Well, if she's going to be a space pirate then I guess that means she and her bandits will try to steal Ahsoka's ship, as that's the only one in the vicinity (or possibly the galaxy for all we know). Hard to be a space pirate if you can't leave the ground let alone the planet's atmosphere.

Maybe she'll get an eyepatch in Season 2. A parrot would be good too, something to counter Morai. :lol

Sabine suddenly becoming force sensitive still really bothers me. It didn’t feel like a natural progression for the character at all.

I think a non-force sensitive Mandalorian learning to embrace the ideologies of other cultures to better themselves would be a far more interesting direction for her character.

I think overall Sabine just wasn’t a very good character in this show, and I liked her character and development in Rebels.

It was fun to watch Sabine doing battle with both lightsaber and blaster but I also found her to be the weakest character on the show.

She was just very hard to root for especially with her flippant and seemingly utterly non-self aware attitude about all the trouble she caused even when it was spelled out directly to her face.

Then refusing to come clean to Ezra even when keeping said info could greatly hinder their effectiveness made it even worse.
