Criticising a show for it's writing, production values etc. is one thing. Criticising the male to female ratio is gonna get you a reputation. Then there's the whole "I'm not a [insert disgusting personality trait here]....but" comments that start doing the rounds. The whole debate just goes around and around and around.

Only cause people get such a euphoric rush out of calling strangers "disgusting" cause they don't like TV shows.

Like Egon said, "The door swings both ways."

I posted my opinion about the new Indy movie on rebelscum yesterday, and within minutes some random poster informed me that I had a "small ****." But I guess that kind of behavior is perfectly acceptable and not "disgusting" as long as he likes the right movies.

I loved Ahsoka in The Clone Wars but I just did not enjoy Rebels whatsoever. I've tried three times to watch it and I fall off of it every time before I even get halfway through season 1. I just am not a fan of the animation style and the characters don't seem as interesting as they could be. I hope this show endears me to that dynamic more, and I hope it's at least followable for those who weren't into Rebels.

Action looks fun, Ray Stevenson definitely looks like a menacing villain (RIP), but I'm just worried about the dynamic at the centre. I'd prefer this to be a completely Ahsoka centric show which deals with her trauma and struggles, rather than the Rebels sequel it appears to be.

I too had a hard time with the early seasons of Rebels. It did get better towards the middle though. Still not as good as Clone Wars was for me.

My first thought after watching this trailer was..."so THAT's where the money for the Mando Season 3 budget went". It LOOKS impressive.

Second thought was...Ray Stevenson looks and sounds AWESOME. Dammit. Rest in peace. sir.

Third and final thought was....looks great but I'm not really needing to see another Disney "live action" version of one of their cartoons. But hey, at least it's not a musical, right? 😁

I just wasn't into that "Rebels" cartoon - not saying it was bad, it just didn't motivate me enough to watch it. I'll check this out, but expectations REALLY low these days with anything Disney.

I'll give it a whirl.
2ep premiere.
low expectations though.

Disney are all miss lately.
Secret Invasion has been intriguing though

Thrawn, Dark Jedi. Seems more like the old school SW (Legends and stuff from the 90's) than the usual Disney fluff. I hope it's good. I just want a Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight movie with Katarn.
Looks like Dave has taken some inspiration but I'm expecting live action Rebels Filoni style stuff. With a pinch of old school legends.
