Fairly sure we got to see E-wing fighters, from my beloved "Dark Empire" comic book all the way back in 1991.

That was cool.

Everything else? Sucked.

I hated this. Oh man did I hate it. I hated it so much, it wasn't even a "hate watch."

Rather than being a fount of unnecessary negativity and hostility, I'm just gonna exit this thread and let people who liked it enjoy it without me whining about it.

Just let me know if there are any cool cameos like Luke or something that I'll need to check out. If not, I'll just go along with my existence pretending this wretched fan-fiction never happened.

Now I wanna watch the first ten minutes of this, to see if I agree. :sneaky:

So thoughts already for show, now that I've seen the eps:

What is with everyone surviving a stab from a lightsaber? This time we're talking about someone who's got the lowest aptitude for the Force according to Huayang so someone please try to hurl the excuse cause right now QuiGon Jinn is asking "how the hell am I dead?!" Truly now its a stabbed by a lightsaber & survive bargain sale. I like Sabine but really now?

They were decent. But not entirely sold right now. Feeling nostalgia more or less.

They seem to be using Morgan too, I can feel an aura of distrust between them.
When she said that 'Thawn calls to her', Baylan definitely had a little bit of a 'okay she might be nuts' look on his face. Even following that when they have their conversation to the side, it's very clear there's more going on with them than they're letting on.

Rosario as the character looks absolutely phenomenal sheer perfection the way she moves, runs, pivots and jumps with her clothing billowing just gorgeous.

One of my favorite looking Jedi costumes from head to toe.

The last lightsaber battle was pretty cinematic.

Dialogue pacing needs to be quicker though at points I thought they were walking in slow motion lol

Not bad.

Yeah I thought Rosario looked awesome in those fight scenes. I know some are complaining that Ahsoka doesn't move as lightning fast as she did in the cartoons, but she's supposed to be older now and more attuned to the Force, so probably doesn't need to expend as much energy as before.

Plus I'm not sure even Ray Park is capable of moving as fast as those characters did in TCW and Rebels. Lol

Still does not explain why they think both lost characters are at that location the map is pointing to. If there is an actual reason, it seems pointlessly obfuscated. What is their reasoning behind all this? What led them to believe Ezra and Thrawn are there, wherever that is? How am I supposed to be invested in their quest if I don’t know WHY they think this will help in their goals?

1. FIND MAP TO ANCIENT LOCATION
2. ????
3. REUNITE WITH LOST COMRADE
I think it's because of the Purrgil.

The map shows their migratory route. If you look closely on the star map, the galaxy is in a circle surrounded by purrgils much in the same way wolves were shown in the world between worlds in Rebels.

Morgan would have known Thrawn was taken away by Purrgils, and as a Nightsister, she would know that her order had records at that planet of where these creatures went. So she would have guessed that this is where Thrawn was taken.

There are also a number of hints through the episode, where she would hear whispers calling out to her. Perhaps something at that location is telling her how to find Thrawn.

I loved the first two episodes! Sure, they weren't perfect, but very entertaining nonetheless. Can't wait to see how this story unfolds.

Oh and Hot Toys? Hera and Chopper, please and thank you.

Agree with most of the comments, nothing outstanding but a lot better than I was expecting. Everyone is solid, the standouts being Baylan, Shin, Elspeth but unlike most I liked Sabine and yes Rosario is a lot better here than previously. A couple of little call outs: nice to see Clancy Brown playing the character he voiced in Rebels and great to see Drake from Aliens!!

I thought it was nicely paced with some interesting new characters Baylan felt intimating enough, with Shin being the fire.
SPOILER="Spoiler"]
Anyone else think Marrok maybe a Nightwitch corrupted Ezra

I was very impressed....

Stop reading here if you have not seen the episode yet.

Let start of with acknowledging the score. This is the best score I have heard in the SW universe since the OT.

Its captivating and original, yet plats with VERY popular note changes from the OT. It harkens back ti a time where the score was used to reflect the mood of the character or scene, and its very very well used and devised.

I also appreciate the restraint used in the scenes, to let the viewer "Think" rather than rush from one action scene to the next. We got to see actors ACT for a change, rather than a helmeted character do pew pew over and over. And when we DID get action scenes , the brilliant choreography that allowed us to focus on the faces of the actors over some ballet style / kung foo jazz was so refreshing. Seeing the smirk on Ashoka's face during her first fight was prices less. Seeing light sabers as heavy objects again was also dead on point. Sabine's battle had the same charm.

The pacing was nice and slow, perhaps a bit too slow in parts, but I prefer that over quick cuts to the next joke or action scene. I like the change in tone they are going for.

Unfortunately, for those that have not seen Rebels, they are gonna be lost, and most will not have the patience for the slow burn without having all the familiary with the characters many have. Seeing Ezra do his "neck thing" was a hoot, and seeing Chopper be a jerk was great, but all these moments are lost to new viewers.

It feels to me like BR2049, and how it may lose people due the more cerebral nature of tbe show, over the previous action/joke based format.
