I could probably write a novel on all of the projects I would have done if I was in charge of Lucasfilm. I remember hearing Kathleen say in an interview, while laughing, that she didn't want to hear about everyone's pitch for a Star Wars movie. I think maybe you have some smart people there who have worked on SW for years..... The only one that was able to grab her ear was John Knoll (one of the creators of Photoshop) who pitched the Rogue One idea. He is credited too!
I’m not sure how someone like her became in charge of Star Wars. She seems to be very well versed with movies but she doesn’t seem to get Star Wars? I don’t really understand her tbh. I don’t think she likes it . Her approach to it seems malicious and ignorant.

the comment about not having any source material to pull from was the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

Everything has been said about that woman. Damage has been done and continues to be done. Sad that she won't step down or hand over Lucasfilm.

Don’t know why the confusion.

Everyone already knows she was handpicked by Lucas.

Blame.

Him.

Lucas made the mistake of trusting a friend to look after it. He believed her when she said they'd care for the legacy characters.
He shouldn't have trusted her. She shouldn't have lied to him.

Edit: I should say though, I do agree with you, ultimately it's Lucas fault for selling to Disney in the first place and putting KK in charge of LF.

All true that Lucas trusted in someone he didn't fully understand. John Knolls would have been a better choice. But people forget how big of a failure TPM and AOTC was. Jar Jar was horrific. ROTS salvaged some of the damage, but like DC, too much damage was done.

I see this show as an extension of Rebels. No reason to think otherwise. I expect to see the whole crew in this show.

And that wouldn't be a bad thing, in my opinion!

I'm sure in her mind she's protecting the characters and "future-proofing" them.

There's an entire younger generation that would disagree. The PT seems more popular than ever now.

Sure, it didn't live up to the OT, but as the ST has shown, lightning doesn't strike twice (or thrice if you count ESB).

TPM and AOTC were huge failures at release. A big regression at the time with AOTC. With someone at my age, that stuff is supposed to hit home. It was more of a kick to the nads. Zero people liked it. Look at the value of those figures. Same situation with Tobey in SM3. He has become a meme God in jest. Jar Jar was way, way, way worse. It is the only live action intense lightsaber action you can find. Like the X-Men, it is all you have so you have to accept it. Take out the last 20 minutes of each movie and there is nothing to enjoy from those two movies. Toys don't make the movie.

ROTS brought a resurgence as it was perceived as the last one for a long time. It was significantly better and brought some value back to the trilogy. Clearly, The Clone Wars helped enhance the PT with some more enjoyable/action fluff.

Regardless of value I still like the Episode I line of figures. There's a nostalgia to those plus a great deal of them hold up very well.

The Episode II line was junk and the higher quality figures for AOTC that exist wouldn't come until later. III had some good figures but I don't seem to have much of a nostalgia for that time.

According to you and the vocal toxic old fans. The majority loved those movies. How much money did these " huge failures " brought in? If everyone hated them they must of lost money. Lots of money. People like you are the ones that mercilessly attacked Lucas are most likely the reason he decided to sell. He most likely decided be didn't want to deal with your kind. Now you the people who ran him off are crying about Kennedy? You gave birth to Kennedy.

Lol, toxic. Shiver me timbers! People always like to put themselves above others with what they think is some intelligent label. Criticism is helpful as you are making these for consumers after all. Lucas said it himself with the BTS of TPM, "I might have gone too far in some places." All of this was caught on camera. Lucas PT or Kennedy ST, doesn't matter as both are bad. But I'm sure both like people who defend their terrible content!

Friends hated it, the internet hated it. Not sure where you were at, but it wasn't going over well with anyone. People cling to things cause sometimes that is all they have. Just go look at the ratings online. Any of them. But if you only visit a small part of the internet where people agree with you, which some don't on this site, you will think it was some masterpiece. Box office does not equal quality. Transformers is that perfect example. I was lucky to escape to the SW games and books where the good stuff was at.

Back to Ahsoka, The Clones Wars and Rebels brought SW fans back. This was the early to mid 90's of merch that brought fans back before TPM. This will be Rebels 2.0 IMO. The whole crew I imagine will saddle up. Hera might look alright, but Zeb might look horrific without CGI. I would think they would focus on Ezra, Sabine and Thrawn. Besides Mando, this could be the most interesting of the D+ shows, even though I am not a fan of Filoni or Rebels.
