I agree, and I also appreciate that tonally it looks like it’s aiming to be part political thriller which is an important genre that’s been missing from Star Wars.

Instead of stilted dialogue and flat shot reverse-shot, the fall of the Republic and Jedi Order should’ve been written and shot as a political thriller in the PT. I’ve always felt that was a tremendous missed opportunity.

Also interesting that there’s Phase 2 Clone armor. I wonder what the context is; flashback, a holdout, old gear, or the last of the Imperial Clones seen in TBB.

If I had to guess it’s probably the event in his childhood that lands him with the fledgling rebellion.

First practical clones? :drool
Beat me to it. Sure looks like it, unless they *really* improved the CG.

I always look for troopers. The Rogue One suits are there so we’re getting both Stormtroopers and Clones, or at least people in Clone armor.

I’m not sure if they’re actual suits. Best indicator they might be is the shortened thigh armor like the RO TK to make walking easier.

But they also look a little too perfect, which might just be additional CGI or the people who made the props just did a really good job.

Was it confirmed that the clones from BOBF were cgi.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone confirm CGI or practical. I lean CGI because of the legs and the movements feel just a little off like when the Clone drops to his knee.

They’re also pretty far away in a very short scene so it may have been easier to just have a few digital Clones.

But kudos to either the CGI artists/animators or prop makers. They looked believable either way.

My gut tells me cgi

Stellan now in Star Wars. If only he was in that new Indy 5 he'd win for being in the most blockbuster franchises over Julian Glover.

Stellan: Star Wars, Pirates, MCU, Dune

Glover: Star Wars, Indy, Bond, GoT
Zoe Kravitz now has Marvel, DC, Mad Max, and Harry Potter (Fantastic Beasts.)

Zoe Saldana has Marvel, Avatar, Star Trek, Pirates.

SLJ for the win?

Die Hard, Unbreakable, MCU, Jurassic Park, xXx (lol), Star Wars

How many films does it have to be to constitute a franchise, maybe xXx doesn’t count, not that it should anyway.
