Eager for the show but that's a pretty drab poster. It's Star Wars... where are the aliens and robots representation?
Agree could use more aliens and droids (although B2 is there) . Still seems a straight revisit of Rogue One poster, which is what they are channeling and building to.
If that was SW, this is too.

Yeah but at least RO had robots and troopers.

Disney is so busy making diversity posters they forgot about aliens and robots (and troopers). Lot of smoke, though.
Not counting the droid apparently
Just 4 out of the 10 characters on the poster are so called "diverse", are people really this fragile and scared :lol

Anyway...

Though she was there in the first, hadn't really noticed her till this new poster , do we have a name for this actress and her character?

I think this poster hits more of the “Star Warsy” feel with the color palette, despite it being very “Photoshoppy/Fake Drew Struzan” at the same time. I dig the diverse orange tones that are represented here. 😉👍

More redhead erasure, now just with a dyejob. Why won't anyone cater to my tastes?!

I can’t believe they’re shoving Irish people down our throats. Think of the children
The Irish aren't real WASPy HuWhites, therefore this is important BI-MENA-NW-POC representation. Sit down, be humble. They are my Swarthy Brothers, as am I.

As a Brown man, I feel extreme joy when I see another Brown man such as Mads Mikkelsen, Collin Farrell or Michael Fassbender in tv and movies. It really makes me feel represented, you know? Now Jon Hamm, eh, I can't really identify; you get it.

Whenever I get a chance to post this Ben quote I do. There's just something hilarious about someone considering Icelanders as swarthy as your average Southerner.

Banter aside, I am actually quite looking forward to this. The concept itself is interesting, and I like well enough what I've seen so far. But as I've said, it's mostly Gilroy's involvement that has my curiosity peaked. After the dreadful nonsense that were OWK & Beta Fatt, I need something good SW-wise. I'm not in for any dollies considering I decided to disregard the entire NuCanon, but if they end up bringing in any EU Imperial characters, I could be tempted.

Also calling it now, Skarsgård (Luthen Rael and his ship) looks like the most outstanding new character(s) about to run away with this series.

I remember this from Disney Springs walk back in 2018? And thinking back then he should get his own show.

And now we'll never have to worry about Jyn or anyone being ruined by some new hack writer/director in the future. I guess the upcoming Cassian prequel series will put that claim to the test, lol.
Well Andor is supposed to lead right into R1 and his first appearance on the Ring of Kafrene.
Before that and before Jyn and Andor cross paths, she's already been in prison, with a list of charges against her, and time with Saw's partisons.
""

So if they want there is plenty of interesting parallel story overlap worth visiting, before they met.
That could reflect Andor's own path towards season 2 lead up to R1.
So who knows they might bring Felicity Jones back to fill out for her concurrent story arc? :wink1:

They are in fact doing something similar now with Mothma, who he doesn't actually meet till later, but who has an equally interesting path, just in her own side of events.
I would love it if they brought Felicity Jones back to do something similar S2.

Six years ago I would have been right there with you but Disney SW is such a different animal since the days of RO that I'd prefer she be left out of it.

I really don't need to watch her chasing a tiny droid around a broom closet with mops and buckets falling on her head before grabbing him and saying "Do you know who I am, I'm Jyn Erso!!!!" *starts twerking*

lol

Yeah that was Favreau trying to inject some odd misplaced hummer, and whoever directed that episode? Kevin Tancharoen? And I guess you are referencing the latest Disney She-Hulk? :lol

I don't think Tony Gilroy will be lending himself to any of that.
Very different style and approach.
If anything I think he mandated they keep hands-off, if he was going to work on it.
