^^^and that's probably a good thing. Don't go around over-explaining the show. Let the work speak for itself. One wonders how many of these people that work on the D+ SW shows really believe what they're saying in that endless cycle of interviews. The results should stand (or sadly fall) on the finished product.

You know what... **** this show. That episode broke me. The slow pace is now getting ridiculous. That whole episode was a waste of time. Out of 43 minutes there was probably 2 minutes of anything truly worthwhile.

I was all-in, but that was just infuriatingly, vapid, and bloated.

In my opinion this is one of the most powerful scenes in the show so far, it simply gave me the chills. It shows what an excellent actor Stellan Skarsgård's character, Luthen, has to be to be able to live inside the empire world.

The previous episode was building up to the heist thing. I was expecting some action in this episode.

Well this was a fun episode to help us get to know all of the crew before the die horribly next week.

Yes it's slow, but these are 3 episode arcs, the action that our monkey brains so dearly crave will come next week.

Hahaha it's like they are trolling us... I still enjoyed this episode though.

I will say, I found the editing a bit weird. So that ISB guy goes to Ferrix and back to ISB headquarters does a bunch of stuff, a bunch of stuff happens with Andor and co, but it still seems like the same day for poor fired corp guy living with his mom? I am losing track of time within the show while questioning why this is taking so much time for the story to move on in the real world.

I've been enjoying it so far (haven't had time to watch the latest yet though) but I think this might be one of those series that I'll enjoy more if I leave it until a few have been uploaded. Not to binge in one go, but I could watch one every night for a week say. Might flow better that way.

LOL^, the combustion here is all interpersonal, episode didn't need a single fx explosion, loved every non-action, methodically paced, suspense building, character driven, second of the episode.

The previous episode was building up to the heist thing. I was expecting some action in this episode.
I won't get the chance to watch this episode today, maybe tomorrow.

They could have fitted any progression in today's episode into the previous one with just a bit of editing.

Ok, this show is definitely more watchable than Kenobi and BoBF, but although I have not seen the latest episode yet, the pacing and/or editing so far feels atrocious. The flashbacks to Cassian’s youth feel randomly inserted into the middle of scenes. And there are so many unnecessary scenes that add zero value to anything else currently going on:

• Like Cassian making an alibi with his friend at the work yard.
• Like the shipyard worker who wasn’t giving Cassian any more free ship rides or whatever.
• Like the guardsman listening to his boss’s orders to create a story for the double murder case, only to immediately disobey it and not receive any direct consequence from his commander (how did he amass 13 other troops without his support?) vs. the imperial they collectively reported to (also, how did they know they were looking for a Kenari male? I get that Timm/Bix’s boyfriend tipped them off it might be Cassian specifically, but the skinny sergeant guy literally walked into a scene and announced that the investigators needed to be looking for a man of a certain race without any evidence?)
• Like the guys with hammers ringing the giant anvil like a bell and Cassian’s “mother” telling the security guards about said bell.

This show is succeeding in being very character-driven in some ways, but there are so many random one-scene characters and interactions that feel like they might build into something only to probably never be mentioned again. It feels to me like the world building they’re trying to do is through random and shallow interactions that serve only to waste time and add filler to the supposed heist plot. I like the show, and I appreciate the direction they’ve taken in regards to expanding upon to known galaxy and making the action (as little as it has been so far) feel very dangerous and real vs. over-choreographed one-on-one duels, but it’s also kind of hard to pay attention to knowing so many scenes are seemingly irrelevant.


EDIT: Just finished the fifth episode and I think it might be my favourite bit of content that has come out of Disney since RO. Much more focused and enjoyable than the first 4 episodes imo.

Andor is a much deeper show than any other Disney shows so far. The characters develop slowly, but they do develop in a natural way, combining the environment they are in at that moment, the relation with other characters and their own backgrounds. Like I said before, it is a show for mature audience, an audience which enjoys the subtleties of espionage stories, the refinement of the dialogue and the sophistication of the various scenes. I wanted a Star Wars show like this for decades, I'm glad it is finally here, for all of us to watch.
