Are there any Freaks willing to pick me up a Hasbro 4-LOM/Zuckuss set at C5? Or two? :monkey3

Where are you finding convention items already?

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! Vintage action!!!! Those are gonna do real well in the market.

This is what I've been waiting for!!! Cut out the crap of these new packages and just go back to the basics. I LOVE the vintage cardbacks. Can't wait!!!

What do u guys think would be a cool event?

There's a link where people can submit event ideas:

Also...I've been debating whether to get a hotel or drive every day from my house from Tampa.....

So this is what I've been thinking.....

1. I'm pretty sure I can have a couple freaks stay at my house for that weekend...free of charge. But the only thing I would ask is if they can help me out with gas and parking money and that they wouldn't murder me. :monkey5

If we stay at my house....we would have to wake up pretty early since my house is about 1 and 45 minutes away from the convention center and it would be around $13-15 of gas a day (i used an online gas calculator for that estimate). Parking might be a hassle to find...but if we get there earlier enough we'll be fine (i think)....also...I think it's about $11 for parking...but I dunno if there's gonna be a special price for this event.

So that's about $26-30 a day for 4 days....split between me and pitu and who ever else wants to stay in my house.

The only problem I have with this is all the hassle of driving back and forth. But I'll do it if I have too....oh I should also mention that I have a Toyota Corolla so I can fit about 4 people comfortably, 5 people squeezed. :lol

2. The second option is to split a hotel room around the convention center.

That would be about 150-180 a night? More expensive....but we would be with in walking distance and it would only be more affordable if 4 or more of us freaks would stay together.

So yeah...let me know what you guys think?

I am hoping on booking a room on Friday---There is one a couple blocks away for $90.00 a night---
There is a place right next to con for more money--
I am willing to share room with freaks as long as they do not cut, rape or kill me.:monkey1

I can promise not to cut or kill you. :)

It's at the Orange County Convention Center
Bumped the info again. ;)

Since DCFett was talking about the amount of things that he saw at the Celebrations that he attended.....I took it upon myself to investigate the size of the convention center to get a general idea of how big this is gonna be.

I compared the Orange County Convention Center to the one in San Diego. I've been to them both and they both seem pretty big!

SDCCC: TOTAL 1,386,122 SQUARE FEET

I know...I know....this might not mean anything... but by seeing that they both have about the same sq footage (SDCCC is bigger tho)....it gives me more confidence that maybe there is gonna be alot of stuff to see and do!

I've been to every Megacon for the last 4 years and they usually do it in Hall C...and altho it's a spec compared to the SDCC....it can pack a shat load of people...(stinky people)

Here are a few pics of last years Megacon so u guys can have an idea of what to expect:

It hasn't been. You just have to be checking the site. I had a harder time getting the Pimp Destro's that one time than any of the C4 pieces. Even then, later on, SWS.com had them as well.

They will be out there my friend.

How are there convention exclusives being announced when there isn't even a guest list yet??? WTH??

Bam, I found a spot at the Wyndam. $65 a night with shuttles to both the Con and Universal included. Check it out. Split that between one or two freaks and it;'s one ! :rock

Plus we can all party like rock stars !!!!!! :chew

Let me know. I already booked. They charge one nights stay in June to secure the room so you can book now and if you decide against it, you can cancel in May ! :naughty

Awesome! Link me up Jimmy!

Can I just say that I am ____ing excited as hell about this!??!

We need to meet up, trade numbers, party, get drunk, and do stuff. Oh yeah, stuff!! WOOT!

By the way, in case anyone else is going to MegaCon in a couple of weeks: Drop by the 501st booth. Steve Sansweet, Reed Exhibitions, and other official C5 folks will be there to promote C5, answer questions, and listen to suggestions.

I'll be there on Saturday (3/13) and will most likely spend a lot of time at or around that both, though I'll also be floating around and doing PR stuff all over the place.

For those who can't make MegaCon, but have questions/suggestions for Steve and the C5 folks, post them here and I'll pass them along and do my best to get them answered.
