How much would one cost without the radio control?

Probably around $800-$1,000. Or $1,200-$1,500 with a fully aluminum dome. If you want other pieces aluminum it would go up from there. That's the stuff that costs (and weighs) a ton.

This is materials costs, mind you.

Hmmm. How about a date with my wife, then? :hi5:

Not that this is the place to discuss this in further detail but if you go non RC to start is it easy to design up front to convert to RC later?

Yes, provided you use a solid frame and legs to support it later on (and build the legs so that you can run wires down through them later). They make those in expensive aluminum too, but really the wooden ones work just fine.

Pics? Is she Italian?

:)lol)

Sorry, not Italian, but smoking hot. I'm a lucky man and tell myself that every day. :rock

God I need to stop talking to you because you keep tempting me.

No worries, buddy! :wave

Yay! But really, she's very pretty. Your family is a nice-looking group. :)

Yeah, we could be opening up a big can of worms here. :lol

I saw these R2s in person at CV and damn! :drool

Yeah. I've been wanting one for a while, but seeing so many at CV made me want one that much more. I'm not good with building stuff so I'd have to pay someone else to do it, which I'd be willing if I had the money. One day, as I keep telling myself, one day...

I may be in for that ! :)

I couldn't build one to save my life, so I'd have to find a kind soul to build one. They are pretty sweet, but I'd be happy with an accurate one that sat in the corner with lights.

Uh, oh. I ran Mike off. I think maybe he thought I was serious. (Or maybe he was just going to ask her) :lol

:lol

How much more is it to go imperial ?

Exactly, I don't need one that moves. Although, I do think it'd be funny to attach a leash to one and walk it around the neighborhood. That'd get a few heads turning. :lol
