The Frames set is a cool idea and it's great that they're signing by Lucas. However they are $4,000+ too expensive. So I will never own them.

I really like these. They're beautifully presented. But yes, the price will always be an issue for me.

I saw one of these at CV. It's big and beautiful (that's what she said), but way overpriced. George should've done a $300 version for the fans.

Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen any coffee table books worth five thousand dollars.

 Yeah, what is this?

I don't understand... This just seems stupid...

For this kind of money you can get a lot of superb prop-replicas and studio scales. And you may even consider small original props from SW.

I suspect that a lot of the prices are dictated by Lucasfilms Licence fees rather than any greed on the company's part.

Good point. Physical cost would be two fifth's of bugger-all (in other words, not much :)

A new video about Frames is out. It's interesting, and if the cost was under $500 I'm sure a lot of people would consider it. As it is, I honestly have no idea how they think they're going to sell more than a handful.

From the video, it seems that this project was sort of Lucas's baby.

A baby that was sick before getting born and who will die soon, if not treated (with reduced prices)...

If it would have cost even $ 999 I'm sure many people would have bought it!

After seeing the vid I have the feeling they thought every fan would want one of these sets after seeing the vid... Well I want them! :D

For less than $1500,- :lol

Well, they have cut the price and edition size to $3000 and #500. So they're moving in the right direction :lol Odd they don't have flex-pay for it, though :dunno

Star Wars Frames: anyone game enough to part with your money?

Gotta admit, I think these are pretty damn amazing... but $3K? Hard to justify.

Has anyone seen them in the flesh? What's you impressions?

I don't think the people who can justify the set for that amount of money are on this forum :lol

I just spoke to Sideshow and they only have a few copies left out of the 500 they received. Star Wars Shop is sold out. It looks like the 1138 have sold! I didn't think these would have gone, but then again, each to his own. I can't fathom spending $5K on a bronze statue and Sideshow keep pumping them out.
