Just saw the e-mail. I'm anxious to see the price. My wife walked in and saw it. Her response, "That's pretty cool actually. You can buy it if you want." :yess:

Yeah if it's that much then no way. You can build a really nice one with lights for well under that.

Do any “conceptual designs” exist of Han in Carbonite. For example we have all seen concepts of Chewbacca, the droids, Vader the list is eternal. But I do not recall any concept drawings of this. The statue is so iconic I wonder who thought about the hands facing out, one leg in the other out, **** coming down his mouth. The design is so imperfect that it is “perfect”!

I've never seen one.

is that power unit etc on the back "artistic license". Ive been a fan a long time and it looks made up to me.

$7,000 is ridiculous. Its basically a Box with Lights. Han is probably a rolled up rubber poster. Who ever buys this really need to see a shrink.

Beautiful looking piece, but you can easily make one for a fraction of that with lights and all. The fan community has great resources out there.

I actually think the base part and stand are added costs they didn't need to do and should have been just made to have a wall mount on studs or something. I'll bet they could have shaved a lot off the price just for that part alone.

I'm surprised to see no write-up on sound effects even? For that price you'd hope it even had a looped carbonite aparatus sound with adjustable knob to make the little subtle beep sound and then an illuminating red effect as if the carbonite were about to melt (similar to how the LOTR FX Sting sword lit up under the metallic paint). Seeing it's just strictly lights and the piece itself, $7000 is a big pass for me.
