In general they are all fragile.
Just take some time to get used to how the body works, it's a bit different from other manufacturers, so you might start pushing and twisting in the wrong directions.
In my experience, the biceps articulation is very hard which tends to put undue pressure on the shoulder joint. Same with the thigh articulation that puts pressure on the hip joints.

VERY TRUE...My Medicom Fett snapped at the right shoulder...And I thought I was VERY careful with him. At least the break isn't noticeable because the costume and gear hold the arm in place.

I have Medicom Jango, boba, luke, phase 1 clone, maul, Storm, Shadow, and Sand Trooper, Vader, and Yoda

If you are looking for a wide variety of characters then it has to be Sideshow. Personally, I have never had a problem with any of my Medicom figures breaking and I own Boba, Jango, Maul, Yoda, Luke, 3PO, R2, white Clone, Shock, 501st, Storm and Sand Trooper. My only problem with them is the size issue but it looks like they may have addressed that issue with the new Boba and Jango. I prefer my Sideshow figs because they have a wider selection of characters and are less expensive, but I prefer the poseability of the Medicom figures because the joints have always seemed tighter. I still regret not getting a Medicom Vader when I had the chance, but at the time I just could not spare the cash. My Sideshow Vader made up for it though once he came out and I am very, very happy with him.

It's starting to become a thread worth keeping alive. Why not pose some pictures of side-by-side Sideshow / Marmit / Medicom comparisons?
Would make it really easier for newbies, just like me, to compare, if you come across the situation of a very female, reduced look on the world of 12" Action Figures ...

Example: Before buying a Stormie, I learned a lot from this Toyhaven site ...
A sticky thread with good comparison shots would also be better for people with questions to just give them the link instead of various answers ...

He has some good points but he misses on others, like accuracy on helmets which is the best on Marmits hands down, he didn't customize the chest armor on the SS one and looks like crap, small SS cod piece, Medi is more of a ROTJ armor compared to the other two who are ANH, fragility on Medi body etc. SS Stormie is really cool, but not perfect alas. To have a perfect Stormtrooper you'd need a combination of all these 3, or at least SS and Marmit, or somehow to get the helmet from the Gentle Giant Stormtrooper bust - which is the best non-1:1 helmet ever made.

I was under the impression Sideshow and Medicom worked together on a lot of stuff too. For example I read somewhere that Medicom makes the frame for the SS 1/6 clones and SS does the suit, armor, and head... Don't remember where i read it, but is this not correct?

There is good and bad in all companies products and generally it's inperfections in the accuray
I own some marmit some medicom ( star wars and ghost in the shell) as well as sideshow and have had hot toys stuff as well
None of it is perfect and most of it is bloody expensive

Yeah, pretty sure this is Hot Toys. Though Medicom is now teaming up with another 1/6 scale toy company--Enterbay! :thud:

biggest difference is the price, Medicom is almost twice as much for a quality not twice. The new side are really on top and finish quality is always by appointment.

It used to be that Medicom was so much more expensinve than the Sideshow figures. Now they are about equal in price (excluding that awful ANH Luke figure).
