They should concentrate more on the figure's themselves,I could care less about the packaging,as long as it's got a decent box and blister and bad ass figure inside of it,its all gravy baby:D.

I was putting some boxes on a shelf the other day and lining up my Medicom packages. I noticed for the first time that the anniversary box art is actually more colorful than Medicom's previous SW box art. At least there's that grey wedge in there now. Before they were just solid black.

I do kind of hate it that the SSC boxes look just like the GG boxes though.

The uniform packaging was pretty lame IMO, I can understand the idea... but it was just so boring of a design.

as long as the box includes the great styrofoam top and bottom so the collector is protected inside the shipper. not all are shipped that way but all should be.

Is there anyway to keep the 30th Anniversary packaging for A New Hope characters and use the regular yet really cool packaging for everyone else?

How about 30th Anniversary packaging for figures that come out in 2007 and regular for anything after that. Then in 2010 we can use 30th Anniversary packaging for Empire Strikes Back and in 2013 for Return Of The Jedi.

I believe the 30th Anniversary packaging should only be used for special occasions.

The original was waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to shoot. I have a strong distaste for the black and grey boxes. First off the grey parts on the front make it difficult to deal with key-stoning, and the hyper gloss without an image behind it makes them tough to light without kicks.

The original.

My 7 year old can probably come up with a more artistic and interesting design than the 30th Anniversary one. :sleep

I don't have as much of an issue as some do with the 30th packaging, but it's still no where near as good as the original design.
