Episode 2 is now on Disney XD. Some familiar costars in this one. I'm getting a firefly vibe from this episode.

Watched the 1st ep. tonight. They felt the need to pack too many action scenes into one hour. They need to ease up work on the characters.

The 3D looked rushed. Character designs were overly simple and material shaders were flat.

I swear, stormtroopers can't hit the side of a barn even if they were sitting on it.

Can't hit the ground even if they fell out of a tree?

Just like in the OT. It would make the movies look odd if the military in the show weren't inept. So don't blame Disney for a problem clearly created by Lucas. ;)

What? :panic:
Now I'm really excited about the second ep.

Yep, feels very old school. Do like the role the Imp. officers seem to be taking as more presence rather than background.

Just about 5 minutes into episode 2. Didn't take them long to start pulling in the OT stars, did it? :lol

Wait till you see the ending. If they are trying to say that the rebellion began with this group of outlaws. They must not have read the episode 3 novelization.

Chopper cracks me up; a cranky droid is pretty funny. Is this the first time the shuttle from
Star Tours
has appeared in anything 'official'?

As far as I know, yes, first time. I didn't realize it was exactly the same, but I thought it was definitely designed similarly. Guess I'll be updating my memory in 10 days when I land in Orlando.

And gotta agree, Chopper is a bad ass, glad everyone doesn't understand him like we feared was going to happen, although with his attitude, he gets his point across. :lol

Yeah, i can see Chopper reaching 'R2' popularity status, easily. I also am tickled pink by just how many proto designs they are using. Between the helmets and walkers, now the IG-88 prototypes running around that I may have missed in episode 1, Mcquarrie and Johnston are well represented

This could be a drinking game of "spot the unused designs". Really really cool stuff all around, it took the Clone Wars awhile to grow on me, but this is becoming a quick must see. Maybe its because its going to run right into the OT or just the hype of a Star Wars show while under the excitement of new Star Wars movies, but these episodes are great to me.

Same, but I don't see why Clone Wars couldn't have continued on.....I guess Disney didn't want to compete with themselves....? Oh well, I am definitely on board Rebels....I wonder if they will explain how Clone Troopers turned into Stormies....I was 'hoping' we would hear 50% of them sound like Clone Wars guys and the other half not, but hey, no complaints

Clones cost more. Drafting the social underclass and placing them on the front lines is cheap. The galaxy is full of people the Emperor would rather not feed.

"Rebels" isn't so long after Clone Wars that they couldn't tie up loose ends in a couple story arcs on this show.

I really enjoyed the premier. This show is starting better than clone wars. Let's hope it continues!
